Very nice and light for road bike

Wheel came with overtightened cones--would only free-spin for about 2-3 revolutions. A simple QC check that was not performed. Other reviewers had the same problem. Had a hard time breaking free the lock nut. Supposedly the wheels are hand-built, but the lock nut suggests that the nut was machine-tightened. Even after adjusting the accessible cone, the wheel still only free-spins for about 6 revolutions. This means the wheel either has very cheap bearings, or is not properly greased.

Came true, reasonably light, nice and smooth. Comes with rim tape installed. Stem hole was just a little small, a few passes with a round file took care of that. Very satisfied.

This review is coming from someone who spent their hard earned money for a rear wheel. Right out of the box, there were two issues. First, the wheel needed to be trued. Now, I'm not an expert bike mechanic, but I was able to get the rim fairly straight without using a truing stand. The second issue was that the hub was not spinning as freely as it should have. I had to loosen the cone due to it being too tight and applying too much pressure on the bearings. Now that those two issues have been corrected, the wheel works as it should.Hey RCG, any chance of receiving a front wheel as a promotional review? I would love to try both wheels together.

Great rim for the price. Thick rim tap. Easy to get tires on and off. Highly recommend.

I'm not entirely sure what people were expecting for a $100 wheel, this thing is basically as good as the stock wheels you'll get with most mid tier bikes from companies like Trek, Cannondale, Diamondback, etc. As someone who has owned said bikes, and has upgraded those wheels, these things are very similar to the stock wheels.The wheel I received was true, the packaging could have been a bit better so that may be why others are receiving wheels that aren't true. This is definitely an area that the manufacturer needs to improve on, use a better box! The hub on my wheel spun with ease, the ratchet sounds good, better than other stock wheels I have.I've thrown a schwalbe marathon plus on there and it installed fine, just needed a bit of pedro's lever work. So far, I've used them to commute as I wanted to swap out my old wheel, which was a stock wheel and was pretty well worn.Overall, this is a good wheel, one that you can either save for a backup or use as a daily commuter wheel, like I am doing. It's cheap, well made, and feels durable. The spokes are high quality, the rim feels solid, and the hub rolls with ease - not much more I can ask for at this price point. Look, it's no campy or dura-ace wheel but it'll do the job.

Very satisfied with this 700c replacement wheel. The wheel on one of my bikes had been damaged and while it had been trued, was still out of round. This wheel is a quality replacement. The rim is tapered and accommodates tires sizes from 23-35c. It comes with a durable rim strip and a brushed brake contact surface.The wheel was perfectly round and true and installation was quick and easy. Due to the tapered rim, the Presta valve barely fit and long stem valves will fit much better. I recommend these replacement wheels.
