Works Great with a variety of different mediums
The quality of the paper is nice for 98 lb. paper. This weight of paper is nice but does not tolerate a lot of scrubbing. It handles wet-in-wet good for the weight of the paper, but It isn’t strong enough to withstand being taped down, and the paper will have a little damaged when removed. The texture is nice, and the paper's surface is soft. The paper buckles a little when you do all paper wash with watercolors. This paper works better with my Gouache paints and acrylic paint sets. The colors look bold and bright when you use the Gouache and acrylics paints, and they glide over the paper. This paper is nice to use with a variety of different mediums and the paper handles water better than most 98 lb. paper that I have tried.

perfect for learning
So...to be fair, I have been an artist for 30 years, painter for 25...but somehow never touched watercolor. So I am new to the medium, and I mean brand spankin' new, but I am an experienced artist. So...I love these for earning. Good thickness. While I haven't found my preferences in terms of supports just yet, this seems to work as it should. I like the texture. Happy with the results. And at the price point I have no guilt over burning through pages to practice and learn. Would happily recommend and get again.
