Highly recommend this product. The materials are of high quality, the construction is easy and puts together in less than 20 minutes. It is a very nice, solid shelter for outdoor cats. And with the side latch drop, cleaning and maintenance will be quick and easy too.

We have a feral cat (super friendly) on the property for years. His name is Ferrall and he loves it. He is so cute looking out of the porthole. The quality of this outdoor house is great. It arrived as promised and easy to assemble. Also, want you to know my husband placed another plexiglass window on the side where the latch is, and on the other side that faces inside our kitchen so Ferrell can see us. JIBPOK

Great cat house, easy to put together with clear instructions, only need phillips head screwdriver or drill. Smelled like cedar, very mild. Highly recommend!! I am using as an outdoor feeding station and not as a winter shelter. The side door can be placed either right OR left side as long as you are not planning to use the upper ledge piece for a left open config. I built with a left door config minus that platform for my outside feeding station. Only other adjustment I made was to add a piece of adhesive flashing under the ridge of the roof and over the 2 roof pieces for extra waterproofing. I don't know if that was needed as it seemed waterproof if constructed properly.

I bought this as a hide house for my red foot tortoise. She loves it!! Easy to put together. I lined it with some soft flooring and she can easily get in and out!

1st off - this is such a cute cat house but I was looking for a cat house for a cat that decided to not leave our porch/yard. Once it started to get cold/rainy I knew I needed to hunt for a dry shelter for her (she definitely was someone’s cat and maybe they ditched her- super lovely/not scared). I purchased this cat house/ put it together- soon realized so much water/moisture was in the house when I changed the bedding. (Wood swelling etc within a couple months). I knew I needed to do something else for her. I am now purchasing this exact cat house (for the 2nd time) … yes I have now purchased 2 of this exact house for this cat. 2nd house - I painted each piece of the house (before it was assembled) with Gorilla Glue waterproof patch and seal - liquid rubber sealant (all sides of each piece) in hopes to make this house a little waterproof. After 2 coats of the rubber sealant, we put the house together, painted another coat of the waterproof sealant, finished it up with 2 coats of exterior house paint. I also sprayed the roof with Gorilla glue waterproof sealant SPRAY - about 4 coats on the roof (inside and out) and we used caulking around each screw/any gaps etc. I was 100% confident on this 2nd cat house. (When I tell you I put my entire heart into trying to provide a dry house for this cat/expensive little mission- I tried everything I could think of to make this house work) And now we are ready to let her live in a dry cat house- still not dry! Still not warm! Still the same junk! We live in Oregon and now got a little snow- I checked in her cat house to see how it was hold up- it was completely frozen, I couldn’t even take out the bedding since it was frozen/stuck to the interior of the house (I was scraping ice out of the house). The temps in the house were colder than outside. She wasn’t in the house when I checked on her (she loved her house/constantly stayed in the house unless she was eating) but like I mentioned- it was worse in the house so she left. She finally returned and was crying on my porch so I did what any other person with heart would do- brought her in my house (I have other animals and that was why I didn’t let her in from the beginning- and if I am being honest, I did NOT want any more pets). But how do you deny a non stop crying animal on your porch (I couldn’t) I wanted to write this review so others know and can decide before purchasing. If you are looking for a dry cat house- this is not it! If I were to do this all over- I would try that elevated green /heated cat house that kinda looks like a cooler/box It’s not as cute but the objective is finding a warm/dry shelter for a outdoor cat. This is only cute and would only work for dry/warm places. The roof looks like an actual roof- it’s not! It’s wood that they applied sand/pebbles to make it look like a roof. This is where most of the water is coming into the house from. This cat house is made out of more of a “pressboard” and not actually wood. I really made a effort trying to make this work- (I tried every different ways to make it warm/dry/comfortable) between all the waterproof sealant, self heating mats, electric heated beds & straw - the house is just not suitable for cold/winter weather. Save your money and find the electric green box/house. This house is only cute/no other purpose. Last part- why do they always lie about how many cats fit? Only 1 cat can fit in this house. It also shows a little shelf for the inside of the cat house (that a cat can jump up there and lay on that section- that’s not true! (Maybe a kitten) but that board just falls down/not safe. I didn’t install that part on the 2nd cat house since it’s pointless. Photos- I add 2 pics of the 1st cat house (no attempt in making waterproof/assembled from the box) and multiple pics of the house that I made every attempt to waterproof/painted etc).
