I bought and returned 4 face sown pillows before I found the perfect pillow for a vitrectomy surgery. Every pillow was too big, too hard, too heavy, too bulky. This pillow was what I needed. I am only 5' tall way 135lbs and 80 yrs old and needed a soft but firm easily adjustible pillow for a macular hole surgery. People have said the face hole was too big and this is not true. Its an uncomfortable surgery and you need enough room as not to put any pressure on that eye. It is very firm but not hard and very soft to your face. U cant even feel the adjustable supports on the back. Can adust flat enouigh to use lying down and still be able to breath well and slide your arms under. Their also adjustable for sitting up at a at table. Very easy to install and or remove the lifts and just use as a pillow.

This pillow was very effective after my surgery. It wasn’t perfect, but it was very effective.

It helps after I had retinal surgery, but it does collapse quite easily so you need to prep it with other pillows

After having retina detachment surgery and having to lie face down for 24 hours for a full week this was a life saver. Would definitely recommend!

sorry i`m a day late to return this pillow ,but i finnaly can see. this pillow was the worst! it had heen somewhat ok for the first 24 hours after that my chin and face started hurting ,the last 24 hours it was impossible to lay on it ,so i used my arms and as small pilow and lots of face down sitting. i was lucky i only had 3days to lay face down!

I just purchased this for my husband who had a vitrectomy and a retinal detachment. I thought this would be comfortable, however the area where you put your face into is too small. It was right on his eye that we were trying to protect.Unless you’re a smaller sized woman or man with a small face do not purchase this.

Great for giving hubby massage, Way more comfortable than a pillow.
