Works well, clamps are flimsy. Easy to install. The clamps are somewhat flimsy (or it would be 5 stars). Tighten with care. Also, I tightened them, waited 10-15 minutes then re tightened because the hose rubber will relax. I wrapped the clamps with gorilla tape so that the hose will not catch on anything. Better than the crimp type repair fixtures.

When my 150' unkinkable (not true) hose got a 1/2" cut in it, I tried gorilla tape. I love Gorilla tape. It stopped the water from spraying out only to have it spray forward under the tape. Hourleey to the rescue. I surely didn't want to buy a new hose. These stopped the leak and still allowed me to use the roll-up reel with no snags. These are good quality and easy to install.

These hose couplers look great, High sheen of brass, along with nicely contrasting hose clamps. On the other hand the clamps can drag against surfaces, causing scratches. Be aware of that. Other couplers are more expensive and have a lower profile. That style can scratch surfaces as well, but the edges due to the engineering of the clamps aren't as sharp. That option is more expensive. Some are even constructed of plastic which can cause minimal scratches compared to metal clamps. We are essentially salvaging our garden hoses here so that's the tradeoff. Just be aware of the possibility of catching an edge on a car finish or hooking up on an edge, causing additional inconvenience. I going ahead with these couplers, knowing the benefits and risks.
