I got an Amazon deal on this product and I am very happy with it. I really like the easy clean design on the slicker brush, it makes removing the downy undercoat from the bristles a breeze! The instructions say to use the slicker brush first and use the comb for any mats or tangles. This may work for thinner coats. If you have a dog with thicker fur like mine you'll find it won't pull out the undercoat without applying too much pressure and running the risk of scratching the skin with the sharper bristles. I found that I had to use the comb first to loosen it. The comb would pull out a lot too but what was left was easily picked up with the slicker brush. I had to work with the comb some to keep from accidental fur pulling but it didn't take long to get it down. My dog has never been so calm for a brushing after I figured out the right moves. This has improved grooming hour a lot! I gave it a 4 star for sturdiness only for the bag that came with the kit. It's a mid grade material but I could see the brush spokes penetrating it after a little wear and tear.

Love this set of brush/comb in a handy and durable case. Quality products! The slicker brush and comb works perfectly on my Bernese Mt. dog/poodle mix hair. The ejector mechanism on the brush is a must have! I'm so done with cleaning hair out of brushes -- so this option is perfect! Maybe I'm just lucky -- but my puppy LOVES being groomed with this brush. The carrying case is super handy for keeping these grooming tools in easy reach. Highly recommend!

This brush worked well in my dogs coat. I like that it came with the detangling comb and a bag to carry it. It’s a fair product for the price. I do worry how well it will hold up. The bristles are thinner than my last brush and overall, the brush feels flimsy. It certainly isn’t as sturdy as other brushes I’ve used.

Cat enjoys it and I enjoy the single button Fur Ejector. The durable drawstring bag has enough room for my Oster Pro Trimmer with Tug-Free T-Blade. Love that all my grooming tools fit in one durable bag.

This is a good backup brush. The back of the brush has a section you push to help lift collected hair from the base of the brush. This does make it easier to remove the collected hair, but is not self-cleaning.

Best comb for poodles! He actually loves being combed now! Not a fan of the brush. Doesn’t seem to do much for his long hair. Will see in the summer if it’s any better while it’s short.

My dog cringes when I use this, almost like it hurts him even when I’m gentle. The description states it’s for all hair types. I have a Labradore and it doesn’t do anything for his fur. If I use it while I’m bathing him, it will collect some hair, but nothing compared to what a brush should collect. Especially for a high shedding dog.

Really good set for the money! So glad to have found both items I needed in a set WITH a bag. The dog loves these items and so do I.
