Great little music machine with so many options!
The media could not be loaded. I LOVE this boombox. It took me back in time as I had to re-learn the ins and outs of cassette tapes. I even discovered some old tapes I created of myself singing more than 30 years ago. I am grateful to have this tool to rediscover some long-buried musical treasures.

Great to take camping and maybe just play your old tapes
I fully plan on taking this camping, but I really am a sucker for the cassette deck. I have so many old tapes that I can't listen to as we long ago got rid of our big fancy stereos. I had to read the instructions to figure out how to use the tape deck and after relearning that skill, popped in an Abbot and Costello tape we had of their most famous old radio shows. My favorite part about the tape deck is the buttons, they have that nice hard clicky feeling where you feel like it's doing something. For more modern conveniences, I was able to pair this to my phone super quick and painlessly! I assume the SD card slot works the same although I don't personally keep music on SD cards. It's nice to have the option. I can also plug headphones into the top!The AM/FM works great and I had to look up what SW band is - it's short wave! WUUUUUUT! That's pretty cool!I don't like that the instructions are great about everything else but not about how to recharge the rechargeable batteries. The batteries are rechargeable but it says in the listing they are lead-acid batteries. These aren't easy to replace - I couldn't find any on Amazon in this format - but you should take care to make sure you've stopped the flow of energy from it if you're not going to use it for a while.

Nice, simple radio with modern features
This reminds me of the type of radios all the shop guys had when I was a kid. Single cassette deck with and AM/FM tuner. This fits right in with those products from the 80s and 90s so it had that nostalgia factor. This product does sounds better than most of those cheap old radios did. What those radios did NOT have was rechargeable batteries and Bluetooth connectivity. It's a great gift for people in your life who are slow to change their ways and adopt new technologies. I ended up giving this to a buddy of mine who works in the saw department of my shop. He had an old one that finally died and wanted a replacement just like it. He was happy to just use it as a FM radio. When I showed him how to connect his phone to it, good old Ned was happier than ever. He's from one of the former Yugoslavian countries and now he can play songs from the home country from his phone on top of his usually oldies station.Build quality and sound quality are good. Battery life is good for a full 10-hour shift. Alternatively, you can just run it off the power cord and it works as long as you need it to.Great product to upgrade that old radio in the shop or garage without reinventing the wheel.

Great for a get together
I have several devices for playing cassette tapes already, but this reminds me of the one I had growing up, but it had speakers on both sides and was slightly taller. But other than that it's the same. This has a nice weight to it without being too heavy. You don't need to worry about batteries, because it comes with two rechargeable batteries that can be left in the unit and recharged directly through the units AC power cord. I do wish the red light would go out when the charging is done, but I understand that it's saying it's drawing power, ready to be turned on. It should have had two indicators, another one to indicate whether the battery was charging or done. That way if you are just trying to charge the battery up fully before you go, you know when that's done. But that's a small thing, if you are going somewhere just leave it plugged in overnight the night before. The sound is actually pretty good for mono, the FM comes in clear, AM comes in as you'd expect and is really only good for out there conservatives, really weird liberals and the one good jazz station that comes in. Recording is average. It's a new tape deck, the same basic one that nearly every cassette player uses, no matter the price. Some might ask for metal in certain places instead of plastic, but it's still the same cheap mechanism. However, the speakers matter as well and this has a nice mono one that's clear and level. It also features a micro SD card slot and USB input for playing MP3 files. I didn't try that feature, but if you've used it on other devices, I expect it to work the same. I would recommend this definitely, unless your looking for a good reorder. But for playback on the go that's not a personal player, this is a good pick.

handy
Some of us still have cassettes that we enjoy listening to. The problem is finding a decent device that delivers undistorted sound. This player goes a long way to solve this dilemma. It is compact and solid. The speaker delivers more than adequate sound although there are no adjustments for enhanced bass or treble. Everything is a bit strident/harsh, and some hiss is discernable, but only with close listening. Placing the player a few feet away does make things sound better. I play exclusively classical music, mostly opera, so I am especially sensitive to how sound is reproduced. One way I found to enhance listening was to fix an AUX cable from the player’s headphone jack to an external speaker. Easy. Bluetooth connecting works effortlessly for linking an Mp3 player or phone to the device’s speaker. There is a USB port that I used to attach music from a flash drive. Good FM radio option. Power via plug in cable and rechargeable batteries. Comes with a barely adequate instruction manual. All in all, a handy cassette player.
