An Imaginative Delight!
My two toddlers absolutely love this book. My oldest toddler is afraid of the dark and I love to read her this book based around a delightful character called the Loon. The Loon lives on a moon and needs children's dreams in order to light up the moon. Very clever, I have read it to them so much that they have memorized it themselves. I have even asked my local library to pick up all of the Author's Chae Strathie's books. Comparable to Dr. Seuss with whimsical rhymes. Very delightful to see my toddlers light up at bedtime when I ask if they would like to hear The Loon on the Moon for their bedtime story.

Very colourful book
Bought as a present for our grandchildren who really liked another of Chae Strathie books called 'Jumblebum'. As in the previous book, the pictures are very colourful and 'whacky' which I think appeals to young children. I also think the 'space' theme will appeal to our grandchildren (3 and 5 yrs old) as they are both into rockets etc. They have still to be given this book and I look forward to seeing/hearing their reactions.

Simply wonderful!
We are very picky about our books and we simply loved this one! It is absolutely beautifully illustrated and the story is full of nice touches that make my 4 year old laugh. Since we bought it two weeks ago, it has become a must-read every night! We really are very delighted we stumbled upon it!

Lovely pictures
A very original book, with bright and engaging artwork. For some reason not the nicest book to read aloud to young children, I don't find there's much flow or rhythm to the words. So I think it'll mainly stay on the shelf until my son is a little older, maybe 3 or 4.

Great book to read with a small child who likes rhyme and nonsense words. A fun book and good for starting some independent reading too. (Also fun for adults, which is important when you're asked to read it lots and lots of times!)
