Burned the outlet, very dangerous!

Having spent hours online researching fan heaters as a consequence of having two halogen heaters failing, I purchased this heater. My small wooden workshop is approx. 312 sqft with and is exposed in its location. On initial use I felt that the heat output would not be sufficient to cope with the winter temperatures, it felt very mild and even cool a short distance in front of the fan. To satisfy myself of its abilities I spent time noting when it was activated and deactivated and was surprised how quickly the work space heated up, now, 2 months on I can report that it is deceptively efficient. Although there is a built in thermostat I operated the heater through a remote thermostat at the far end of the workshop ensuring an all over heat distribution, I'm delighted with its performance and would freely recommend it to others.

Worked on day 1 for a few hours, though was expecting more heat from 3KW, then day two it worked for an hour before I noticed it was just givingout cold air. Perhaps I should have heeded to negative reviews but as it was a Sealey branded item I expected better. Item returned the next day for a quick refund and my search for a room heater continues.

Dissapointed with purchase as it didn't come with mains plug. Not sure if that's standard with industrial items such as this. Unable to comment any further as it was returned for this reason.

Warms the garage up a treat

Use in 1000sqft (low ceiling) workshop . Surprised at just how effective this is. Belts out some serious heat and throws it over a fair distance. This is about as effective as 240v heaters get.

Works ok, not brilliant, not great. After being used for a few hours my dad noticed the plug had gotten very very hot, so had to unplug it. If you want a little heater to use just for a little works wonders, if it’s to heat up your garage for hours it’s not so great. The fan however, works brilliantly on it.
