Served our needs and held up well.
Perfect for helping bring comfort to a bedridden elder. It is worth the investment to help bring some comfort to an ailing person. fit perfectly on a hospital bed, under a bedsheet.

We'd buy it again
We ordered this Jan 10, 2025 for my wife's mother. We needed something to help prevent bedsores from occurring and decided that this lower cost example was a good place to start. It is now March 10 and we're very pleased with it. Mom says that she likes it (except that she positions herself between two rows of bubbles so that her spinie is not directly atop them), I like it because it assists me in pulling her (on an underpad) into the exact position we're after on her bed. The motor is quiet and simple 2 button operation. The on/off button is the only one we use of the two, and it seems to maybe not be mounted as steadfastly as I would engineer one to be: It seems to 'give' a little downward when you're pressing it on or off (it's a rocker button with a finger curve on top). The short story: We'd buy this very one again if ours broke.

Impressed with the Quality
I would give this product 4-½ stars. The only problem I have with it is that it doesn’t produce a low enough pressure to suit my wife. She says the mattress pad is too hard for her, even on the low pressure setting. That's why I’m returning it. Otherwise, it seems to be a high quality product. The pump unit is extremely quiet, and provides good control of pressure to the pad over a certain range, as discussed below. The pad itself appears adequate, with multiple rows of inflatable pockets. Every other row is connected to one outlet port of the pump unit, and the other rows are connected to the other port. This way the pump unit can inflate all rows (STATIC) or alternating every other row (ALTERNATING). The extra length of non-inflated material on both ends of the pad helps keep it in place when they are tucked under the bed mattress. The edges of the pad “crinkle” when it is inflated, but that wasn’t a problem with a large enough sheet on top that can be tucked under the bed mattress.Follow up to the previous review by RAM:The pump unit controls pressure to the mattress pad. The pressure determines the distance a given weight will sink into the pad, and therefore the “comfort”. I don't believe it varies the flow rate. To see how the unit performed I connected a pressure gage to the tubing, disconnected from the pad. Here are the pressures I measured compared to the control settings:20 - 1.35 psi (between 1-¼ and 1-½ on the gage)40 - 1.5 psi60 - 1.75 psi80 - 2.0 psi100 - 2.25 psi120 - 2.5 psiThese results show that a change in the setting value results in a proportional change in pressure. These measured pressures are on the low side of my gage so I don’t know how accurate they are. My maximum measured pressure is well above the 13 kPa (1.9 psi) maximum stated by the manufacturer. The measured pressures were repeatable, however. As the dial was turned to the various settings, the pressure change was immediate. The unit can’t control pressure down to 0 psi. Turning the dial down as far as it will go results in a pressure of 1.25 psi, turning it up as far as it will go results in a slight increase over 2.5 psi, say 2.6 psi. You can only get 0 psi by turning the unit off.

Has a variable pressure setting
I suffer from back and hip pain. I have tried various types of these and this one seems to be the best so far. There is a button that you can toggle on the front of the air pump to adjust the firmness to your preference. There’s also a dial to adjust to a constant flow of air, if you like. I’ve used many types of these, I call them pads, for my bed and the majority will eventually get a leak if you keep them aired up all the way. Similar to a pool floatie, that’s just the way it is.For the price, I’m happy.

Very sad
I was so excited to use this as I have degenerative disk disease fibromyalgia and endometriosis but I plugged it in and left it on static so it could blow all the way up. I then laid on it and turned it to alternating and lowered the pressure and it started clicking every minute or so and wouldn't stop. I tried switching the fuse out and unplugging it for 15 minutes but it still didn't stop clicking.
