Used this antenna to connect to my GLinet 5G 4x4 cellular router. Before I was getting 2-3 bars indoors at the top of the house mostly 4G RSRP105 RSRQ 10 SINR 12. Installed it outdoors on roof with unobstructed view. Started to pick up 5G signals. Speeds went from 20-30Mb down and 4-5 Up to 50-60 down and 20-25up on average. Occasionally recorded 200+ down and 50+ up. Currently get 5G consistently reading RSRP 89 RSRQ 11 SINR 20. I'd toyed with other cheap antennas that you can buy on Amazon, all in comparison were lets say, politely, worse! To be fair they were only 2x2 MIMO. Last but not least has been the help that Ive had from the Maswell seller team especially Leo who gave and still gives excellent advice. No doubt the GLinet router is excellent but it has been far improved by this antenna.

Attached to a GL-X3000NR this antenna works pretty decently.Pictures above of tested 5G connection results for my mobile router.Produces pretty decent 4G results when out of 5G range even on a short stub aerial pole in the middle of nowhere.Can stream TV, game or chat using this quite happily.

I bought this (reluctantly and with little hope) to fix an issue with my 5g broadband from 3. Although I live in London my signal suddenly went from good 5g to poor 4g. This may be due to building work, cranes, 3 doing stuff that affected my signal or just bad luck. The alternative to 3 is O2 but they are double the price. Moving the 3 5g router around made no difference so I decided to try an aerial.No one seems to know much about them. The reviews are few and not very helpful. Clearly it’s hard to say if the results will be the same for everyone. Then there is the issue of whether the cheaper one will work as well as the pricier models..I decided to go for this black box one (rather than the blue one which is 50% less). I felt if it had to be screwed on a wall outside with ladders involved then doing this once was probably enough, and I really wanted to fix the problem for good. I can say that I’m not disappointed. I went from a poor signal to a good one and I’m back on 5g.Installation is easy. If your router has 4 golden connectors that says aerial and a switch saying int/ext then you need an aerial that’s 4 mimo - or has 4 wires. If it has 2 then it’s 2. The wires that comes with the box are only 2 meters long (they recommend not going over 5 but you would need to buy extensions so ideally finding a way to make this work with the 2m is preferable). Then you simply use the screw on adapters that come with the box and attach them to the ends of the wires and then plug them in (in any order) to the back of the router, flick the switch to EXT and that’s it. It’s the most basic instal ever. No harder than plugging an old school tv aerial into a tv then moving it around to get a good picture. But, in this case, more rewarding. I held the box outside my window, found a good signal looking at my phone on the routers app, then attached the wall mount and put the box on it with the screw fit and 3m stickers they give you. Easy. The wires I threaded through a hole I drilled. This is the hardest bit of the install - if you want it outside, which is preferable. You will need a drill and the bits to make a hole that goes through a wall.And that's it. It’s up. It’s sturdy. It’s unobtrusive and I have strong 5g again.Would the blue box that’s £75 work?…probably. It’s worth a go with prime returns. Would the £280 be even better?? I doubt it.Whatever one goes for don’t be put off by thinking it’s going to require tech knowledge. If your router has mimo aeriel connectors (like the 3 mobile one does) then this is plug and play. If it doesn’t then it won’t work.Hope this helps someone - sorry it’s long but I would have liked to know a bit more about these before I pulled the trigger. I’m glad I did though!

I had expected it to provide at least the same bottom line values as the 5G routers own internal antenna but in fact it was worse and the speed was reduced by 10mb. Note this was using the cables/adapters provided with the Antenna. And yes I switched the Int/Ext switch to ext. OK it is Omni directional but no excuse in my book.

This device is an absolute godsend, the reason I say that, is I live in an area where the signal from my 4g/5g router is poor, on just every network. I have tried different sims from various providers, and all round, awful signal (1 bar if I am lucky).Fortunately, my 5g router which uses a sim, also has two antenna ports for this very purpose (they are ON by default), and even when I used the 'Maswell 5-in-1 GPS/5G Antenna 4X4 MIMO' plugged in near my router (and not even on a pole), it provided a dramatic increase in strength from 1 bar to 3 bars, and when I used it on a pole outside, I received all 5 bars of 4g/5g reception.(Please take a look at one of my Before and After images, showing signal with and without the GPS/5G Antenna.)(The makers have emphasized to make sure you first turn on the external antenna function of your router in the routers settings).The 'GPS/5G Antenna 4X4 MIMO' came with 4 x 5g cables, and adapters, plus a GPS cable. The device from MASWELL supports all 5G 4G 3G and even WIFI7 bands, and even supports all 4 satellites GPS L1, BEIDOU B1, GLONASS G1, GAILEO E1 bands.There is also High Isolation on all 4 leads for superior 4x4 Mimo Performance. In the end, this all results to Better Signal Quality and Better Signal Coverage.The makers MASWELL even say that the device is IP67 waterproof rating, so ideal for all weather conditions, even UV Stabilized, Anti-Freezing, Windproof.For outside use, MASWELL have also mentioned, [and this is important], "To use extension cables equal to or above LMR195, and the total length should not exceed 5 meters".I have included 11 images of the Maswell '5-in-1 GPS/5G Antenna 4X4 MIMO', in and out the packing, and also in use. One of the images are the makers original description images showing more technical details. A few of my images show the Antenna being assembled onto my own 8ft pole, and all the brackets bolts, screws needed for mounting the antenna came with the device. There is also a special cloth for keeping the antenna housing clean, which is important too for good reception and transmission. The most important image of mine, as mentioned, is the comparison between 'router only' and 'router with this antenna attached'.Thank you for an excellent product, which I genuinely never knew even existed. After all these years, I can now enjoy far better broadband from my 4g 5g router, and for once too, start enjoying the speeds of 5g too, which I had yet to see from my 4g 5g router.
