Update:This is now my second purchase, a year after my first, and they are still wonderful.Original review:I bought these as part of a recipe for some Christmas tea I am making as a gift, and so only needed a mall amount really, however having tried a bit ( chef's prorogative ;-) they are super scrummy.I users to buy regular dried fruit for my son, however always found it tricky to find any without preservatives ( for regular dried fruits of they look like the fruit, check the ingredients as that usually means nasties like sodium metabisulphate! )These pieces look like fruit - slightly paler, however I have learnt from my cats - strangely enough - that freeze dried fruit does maintain a lot of not all of its colour, without the need for preservatives.My recipe called for Organic freeze dried fruit pieces - however I cannot confirm if this is or is not organic - I cannot see anything that says it is, which usually means it is not, which is a shame.Unlike freeze dried raspberries which blow your mind (in a good way, but raps are super super strong when freeze dried) and dissolve almost as soon as they hit your tongue, this does not dissolve, but becomes a little chewy, the flavour is strong, but not insanely so.However, having been A bit ham fisted when measuring out the quantities needed, I spilled a few pieces and accidentally put a jar on top of one, I realised it does crush to powder very easily, which would be amazing , I would think, as a sprinkle of wow on top of cup cakes, or a salad perhaps - I have plenty left, and the nice foil resealable pouch to get keep it fresh in, so will be experimenting.

Beautifully light and delicately sweet. These freeze-dried peaches made the perfect accompaniment to my inspired tea blend, "Pesche Con Crema". Worth every penny.
