Durable and Cushioned - Perfect for My Exercise Area
I recently set up the SUPERJARE 0.4” thick rubber puzzle mat (12‑piece, 48 sq ft) in my exercise area, and it’s been fantastic. The interlocking tiles fit together snugly, creating a stable surface that doesn’t shift around during workouts. At 0.4 inches thick, it provides just the right amount of cushioning to protect both the floor and my joints during exercises like squats, yoga, and light weightlifting. The surface feels durable and has great traction, so I don’t slip even when I’m doing more intense routines. I also appreciate that it’s water-resistant and incredibly easy to clean—just a quick wipe after a workout, and it looks new again. What I love: Excellent shock absorption for exercises and floor protection Non-slip surface that stays in place during workouts Easy to clean and maintain Modular tiles make it simple to set up or expand as needed One minor drawback: There’s a light rubber smell when you first open the package, but it fades after a couple of days. Overall, this mat is perfect for any home gym or workout space. It’s tough, comfortable, and definitely worth 5 stars!

Great quality and value
I built my home gym on top of these mats in an 5x8 tile layout and they have held up incredibly well over the last month. This includes a heavy 11 gauge steel rack, barbell, dumbells, bench, and more. This flooring has been fantastic. I took a long time trying to decide between solid rubber, the slightly thicker version of this tile, or the 0.4. After about a month of use I am very happy I chose the 0.4 thickness. The durability has been great and holds up to a full rack and plates without issue. Because this is not solid rubber things do tend to leave an imprint after prolonged periods in one spot. For example an Olympic bar laying on it or a bumper plate sitting on it vertically. It does recover its shape with no issue. The foam with a rubber layer on top is a better option for home gyms because of the sound deadening, extra cushion for calisthenics, and price. The rubber top provides solid slip resistance as well as makes it very easy to clean. This also helps with keeping the mats interlocked after installation as it is a bit more rigid than just foam by itself. I personally would not go with a thicker foam than this as it would then lose the ability to keep heavy items level if the weight is not evenly distributed. For example, a fully loaded rack where two of the four supports carry most of the weight. The included edge pieces also work very well and do not slip or disconnect. This goes for the main tiles as well. The seams become almost invisible to a camera and the naked eye once they have settled into place with no signs of lifting or separation at the joints.

Honest Performance Review
I couldn’t be happier with these mats! The quality is outstanding — the rubber top makes them super durable and they stay in place beautifully, even during high-energy workouts. I’ve used them for kickboxing, weights, and floor exercises, and they provide the perfect amount of cushion and support. They’re comfortable enough to get down on for mat work, but firm enough to protect my floors and keep everything stable. The interlocking design makes setup a breeze, and I love how seamlessly they fit together to create a professional-looking gym space at home. I’ve tried other mats before, but these feel like a big step up in quality and function. They’re tough, easy to clean, and give me confidence no matter what type of workout I’m doing. Highly recommend these to anyone setting up a home gym — they’re a game-changer!

Easy install with a good look
I needed a floor covering for some workout equipment in an area with carpet. So after research, I chose this thinner version. This seems to be the best choice and provides a solution at a lower price. The tiles fit together easily. They also came with a straight edge on two sides that can be removed. This provides a neat finish. The only negative is that it has a rubber tire-like smell. Hopefully that will go away soon.

Good for Home Gym
We got this flooring to start out home gym in our garage. It only took about 30 minutes to lay down, and it seems to be very durable. We got the black/grey color, and it looks great. It’s a bit thinner than some other mats, but I think that will help with stability during workouts. Overall, great purchase.

Good coverage, nice bond, but a little too fragile
I recently installed these in my basement weight room, replacing the fifteen year-old 1-foot square tiles that I had installed previously. I went with the Superjare because of their claim that the rubber topping would make the tiles more durable to daily scrapes than the foam alone. The Superjare tiles are well-provided with edge pieces, quality control was good, and they assembled smoothly. Unfortunately, they are very poor at resisting any sort of pressure, and retain marks almost immediately. I have a rolling stool that weighs less than 3 lbs, and a rolling cart that weighs 5 lbs at most. Both left permanent dents in the surface of these tiles after being left overnight. I rolled an exercise bike over the tiles and ended up with about four feet of visible track marks. I suspect the rubber top is the culprit --- if it is stretched and deformed when the foam is compressed in a narrow area (such as a workout weight plate), it lacks the elasticity to return to its original shape like foam alone might. I ended up having to buy ten thick rubber stall mats to put my various workout stations on. It stands up to foot pressure okay, so if all you were doing was walking on it, it would probably serve well enough. But if you are actually using it where things are going to settle on it, even light things, expect dents and tracks almost immediately.
