I bought this heated comb to help add fullness to my hair, & thought it was going to be useful. It doesn't curl hair, but adds a bit of lift. Until it doesn't. It wouldn't heat up, so I figured it needed re-charging. I plugged it in, & left it over-night to charge. Only it didn't charge. It's dead as a hammer, & useless as .... uh, I'd better skip that metaphor, but let's just say, it does not appear to be able to turn on again. And as I wondered why my Amazon site was not giving me the information to return this malfunctioning almost new product, I realize that the option to return this piece of junk ended.... yesterday. The joke's on me. Most everything I buy from Amazon is terrific. This particular purchase is a dud, but I can't blame Amazon. The product came in a sturdy, well-designed box. It included a velvet-ish bag, & two hair clips, & charging cord. It has the appearance of a quality product. I just happened to receive one that only worked once, & apparently over-heated itself, & some element inside.... broke. And it's not that I wouldn't ever buy a product from this company again. It's made in China, & honestly, most Chinese produced products are well-made, & long-lasting. I think Porta-Pro likely makes great hair tools. Just not today.

I was a little leery after reading the mixed reviews, but I'm quite happy with this little hair-straightener brush. It's compact enough for travel, gets plenty hot, does a good job getting the frizzies out. But - that darn on/off/temperature control button is inconveniently located right where your thumb rests as you use it, and it's quite annoying to have it turn off - or drastically hotter - in the middle of use.

This was perfect for my daughter’s thin hair and I even used it on my own, which is very thick. But it doesn’t hold a charge for very long so you have to be prepared to plug it in and wait for it to charge up again after only maybe 10 minutes of using it. It would be nice if you could use it while it’s plugged in.

For such a small and light weight straightener it packs a punch on straightening your hair easily. Took me about 5 minutes to straighten my hair with it, the charge has lasted a long time. I don’t use it every day but I’ve used it 3 times and haven’t had to recharge it, but it also doesn’t take me long at all to straighten my hair. It’s really travel friendly and has a bag to put it in. The only part I don’t like is that it doesn’t seem to have a temperature lock on the button to lower and higher the temperature on it so it’s a learning curve on how to hold it so you don’t continue to raise the temperature but it’s bit a breaking point for me. I would buy this again if this one happens to go out on me.

I needed an easy-to-travel-with styling tool to keep my hair looking nice while out and about in this hot, humid southern summer. As someone with naturally coily hair, when my hair is straightened it is prone to frizzing/poofing up when I go outside even for a few minutes. So I needed a heated hair tool that I could keep in my purse and use to quickly fix my hair in the powder room while I am out of the house. This little brush did the job wonderfully! See the video attached to this review. The brush heated up quickly, and was able to smooth out my frizzy hair pretty fast. My hair may not be as sleek as it was when I first styled it and left the house, but the brush helped me make it neat again which is all I needed. It was very easy to use and I love that it came with a pouch to slip it into. And it fits into my little purse with no problem! Pros: - Heats up quickly. - Compact size for traveling. - Comes with a travel pouch/bag. - The bristles (mostly the base/bottom of them) get very hot, but the housing of the device does not get hot, so it is very comfortable to have in my hand and use. Cons - The battery life is acceptable, but not as long as I would have hoped. It takes about an hour for the brush to fully charge from being dead. I went out with it for 7 hours, and when I came back home it had one bar left. I had only used it once while out. - I have to be careful how I put it in my purse so that other items in my purse don't accidentally hit the power button and turn the device on. I can't give five stars because of the cons, but my true rating is 4.75. This brush did exactly what I needed it to do, and I would highly recommend it if you are looking for something to help you quickly touch up your hairstyle while you're on-the-go.
