Edurino character review
We started purchasing these characters for my son last year when he was 4. They have really helped him improve on his letters and numbers, especially with him starting school later on this year.. even if it's just for a little while a few days a week. Plus he has found the games really fun. We will continue to purchase some more!

Very fun way to learn
I waited a couple of weeks to see if how my son uses it over time. On the first week, he used it daily, second week maybe 3 times. After that, he hasn’t look back at it.He really enjoyed it and had a lot of fun. He would tell me he unlocked a new stage and finished the story. He is 7 years old. I’m aware it is aimed at kids aged 4-8. I did think it would have been a little more challenging. I set the age to 8 rather than 7 in hope the difficulty would increase and challenge my son. Unfortunately it didn’t. My son is generally good at reading and writing. Which is probably why he found it easy. Certainly if he was younger, this would have been perfect for him. As I said, he enjoyed it a lot the first week. But it seemed he was using it to play it as a game rather than to educate himself. The fix toy is a clever design. Especially how you set it up. You place it on the iPad screen and recognises which set you purchase. The app is easy to use and set up. You can create different profiles and set their age. You do need to buy a pen to get the full experience of this. But you can get away with using your finger. Kind of defeats the purpose.

Great education
Very durable figure, and excellent educational value when used with the app. Love how you can set times etc for use per day on the app. Will buy more for sure.

Amazing.
We all know screen time should be limited and that is what we practice in our family. However we also live four hours away from family so we do have long journeys and ultimately it is a digital world we live in. So if there are occasions we use screens we at least want to make sure that the activities are age appropriate and safe and for me I like them to be of educational value. Well Edurino ticks all those boxes, my son is four (just started school) and hasn't played any games on screens before and has only ever watched shows so I wasn't sure how he would cope with this. It is simple to use, you open the app ( that you can download on iPads/androids and a fire tablet) you select the character you want to play with and place it on the centre which opens the programme. Then you use their pen to select which game you want to play. They are unlocked in levels as such so you have to complete one game before moving to the next and you complete one bubble before the next. Once you have completed it once then it's free choice. For my son I had to do each game with him a couple of times and then he has been relatively independent. As a parent you can set time limits and you can create different profiles for different children. There is also a parent access area which is password protected. This is a vibe review which means I got the product for free but to use it I went and bought a starter pack directly from the company which has the ergonomically designed pen and another character. This specific character is for phonics and great for reception age kids but there are many others including numbers and coding so would suit multiple ages and grow with the child. A great product.

Not suitable for a five or six year old
I was sold on this concept but unfortunately this was not suitable for a 5.5 year old. I can see it being great for beginners, perhaps reception age.The game itself was pretty short to complete so it would be good to add some additional levels.

Clever toy but arrived in poor condition
If you’re wanting a toy that interacts with a tablet to offer a unique learning experience, this is a clever alternative that is simple to setup and effective. If your child is at all competent with using technology this will be a hit.The app is easy to use and the toy works flawlessly with the different games (20+ available). Our little one is 4 years old and this is well placed for his learning ability, although he uses the sounds games mostly as his reading and writing is still improving.Where it let itself down was the condition it arrived in, as the fox was covered in dark marks. This is not something I would expect at all for a toy in this price range and it would put me off buying it as a present for another child.

Fun educational app and toy
The media could not be loaded. Ordered the Edurino Mika - Phonic Skills Games set for my son, currently priced at £24.99, and it's been a fantastic educational tool. The set includes a Mika figurine that unlocks a variety of phonics and writing activities through the accompanying app. While the price might seem high for what is essentially a lump of plastic, the real value lies in the app itself. The figurine is well-made and has a great character design. It’s a fun little addition that my child loves interacting with, but it’s really just a key to unlock the app’s content. The app is brilliant – it's engaging, educational, and even genuinely funny. My son finds parts of it absolutely hilarious, which makes learning a joy rather than a chore. The app content is substantial. It covers letters, sounds, and handwriting practice in a way that aligns with the national curriculum. You get a decent amount of content with each figurine, although it would be nice if the physical toy did more than just serve as an access key. You’re meant to use a pen that comes with a more expensive starter set, but fingers work fine, and we've also used an Apple Pencil with great success.Pros:🌟 Engaging and educational app🌟 High-quality and fun figurine design🌟 Covers phonics and handwriting in a curriculum-aligned wayCons:⚡ The figurine is mainly just an access key⚡ PriceyAll in all, the Edurino Mika set is a fantastic tool for early learners. The app’s content makes the investment worthwhile, providing a fun and effective way for kids to develop their phonic and handwriting skills. If you’re looking for a way to make learning enjoyable, this is definitely a solid option.
