Feath 'r' Leather Dangling Cat Toy

Our two moggies love these above all other toys. The slightly thicker cord than usual stops the cat chewing through it, and the combination of feathers and leather give great action and are good to chew on. We’ve got through quite a few of these over the last couple of years, I usually replace them when all the feathers are gone and the leather tassels are getting chewed away, but given the heavy action they get they’re worth the money. Plus Toby squirrelled two of them away and we can’t find where he hid them! So I’ve just ordered three more to be on the safe side, (and came promptly despite Christmas post, thank you). The cats get really excited when I get a new one out, and both of them will come and ask us to play with them, even when all the feathers have gone. We’ve only had one out of about four where the rod broke. We’d be lost without these, they’re definitely the cats’ all time favourite toy. I dread the day they stop making them!

My cats love this toy. One more than the other - we play chase and jump with it then he clamps his furry jaws arojnd the bead, we play tug of war then he rips it from my grasp and goes running off with the stick trailing behind him so he can hide his 'kill' from his brother (who rudely tries to play too) - the interest hasn't waned either.The stick is still intact, a couple of feathers are xeparted by the dangler is still looking full and tempting for my fur babies. A really great toy and lots of fun for interactive play.

Our Cats use it to bring it to us as every opportunity. They also like it thrown across the room so that they can retrieve it. However the feathers do disappear - So I just bought 6.

I was initially really pleased with this item, my cats loved it and really enjoyed playing with it, the leather strips help stop the feathers being pulled out so its quite a good combination, the toy is unfortunately let down by a very weak rod which is made out of hollow and quite brittle plastic, ours broke within about half an hour, also the chord is too thick so it easily gets caught by kitty's claws while playing.A great shame because otherwise this would have beeen a five star review.

The strips of leather make this much more durable and chewy! My cat loves it.

This is Rufus' favourite toy! She (we were told she was a male) is 3-4 months old, but it would be good for any age cat. She has taken off most of the feathers now, but the leather straps remain fine. The cord is perfect and elasticated. I will buy again as long as the price doesn't increase. We were sent one which was damaged in the post as it is not packaged great and had to buy again, but these things happen.

Excellent toy. Cat loves it. Absolutely loves it. Don't know why, maybe the feather and leather is more appealing than just synthetic stuff. With cat toys, I don't think you can say it's not good if the cat destroys it - that's their instinct. My cat has ripped this apart before, but I replaced it because of how much she enjoys playing with it! It's worth it rather than buying toys that stay in tact because she's not interested in them enough.
