Simple to use and gives great coffee but some design flaws
Bought this to replace a de Longhi machine which had failed after about 8 years. This Beko model outperforms the de Longhi machine by being faster, less expensive and adjustable in terms of the amount of water passed through the filter basket. The delivered coffee is as good as any I have tasted from other machines (or cafes). I like the way in which it primes the coffee in the basket with a small amount of hot water before moving on to the full flow. However, it has a couple of design flaws:1) the machine is light in weight and you need to hold it steady while inserting and fixing the filter basket holder. I find that it is too easy to accidentally touch one of the start buttons (for single or double dose) while doing this and thus have to rush to get my (pre-heated) cup under the outlet.2) the basket holder has a hinged flap of plastic the purpose of which I have not identified. It can get in the way of the basket holder when inserting it in the machine.Despite these two reservations I have no hesitation in giving it 5 stars on the basis of quality of coffee and value for money.

A fantastic middle ground where you won't fall out of the habit of making coffee
A great middle ground between a full coffee machine that grinds the beans and froths the milk and a machine that has a steam wand. This coffee machine will enable those who are slightly lazy and avoid making coffee because they have to steam the milk. This froths the milk for you and to a good standard too.Honestly, for the price and ease of use. Very lovely to use.I still do the rinse of hot water before attaching the coffee and I put filtered water in the back and in the milk frother after use to rinse the system through after - very important.

Easy to use and great product
Only had it a couple of days yet but so easy to use and easy self cleaning makes great coffee. Some reviewers have said it doesn't heat the milk enough and the coffee is cold before sitting to drink it, they must be only just dipping the tip of the wand in the surface of the milk. Practice putting the wand in the bottom of the milk to begin with then move it up and down as it does it's work. If it stops heating press the wand image again after a minute or two it will pulse steam. By the time half a jug of milk froths up to the top of the jug it will be hot.

Frothy coffee!
Bought this to upgrade on a Dulche Gusta pod machine and glad i did.It is not quite as easy and low maintenance as the pod machine but boy oh boy the coffee is a different level.Fill you fav ground coffee into the handle thingy, press it down with the supplied tool, connect it into the machine, fill the milk tank and select your fav cup of coffee.Superb.Some have said the machine does not fill the cup enough but have obviously mot read the instructions. If you leave the machine to it it will gibe you a small coffee but if you want a larger coffee just hold the touch screen flashing logo and the machine will carry on filling your cup up to the desired level. Some have said it could be a tad hotter and that is maybe true but some saying the coffee is cold must be slightly doolally!Cleaning is quick n easy, around 2 mins.Overall for £149 this machine is excellent and i am very please with it's performance, probably not as good as a more expensive machine but then it's not £400!

It's a great looking machine but it is not good
This machine looks good and i liked the touch screen, however this is the only good thing going for it, whilst it does make a good espresso, as to heating the milk, well that is the bad part, no sooner as i have made my drink and sat down the drink is cold, if you want a decent coffee maker do not buy this !!!!i have gone back to using my Breville one touch, which IMO is far superior

Doest give full cup of cappuccino/not hot enough
Sorry don't like this machine, no matter wat I do trying to adjust how much milk/coffee when making cappuccino it will not fill my cup up to the top (only small cup as well) I end up having to fill to top with hot water. Also not hot enough. Bit tricky taking off milk container etc to wash, drips all over place. Shame as it's small and compact and like touchscreen but will have to return. Anybody recommend which machine I could replace it with, only drink cappuccino/latte.

Good machine, read the instructions
I am drinking coffee while writing this :-)Great machine for the money, although i’ve only had it a few days.Make sure to read the instructions.I saw some said that their coffee wasn’t hot enough, maybe those people needed to play around with the settings? Also you can adjust the volumes dispensed and brewing times so those who thought their coffees were too small maybe didn’t read the instructions :-)I considered more expensive machines before I bought this one and so far happy with my choice. So far so good!

Bit Fiddly but stick with it
Replaced my old Beko with this - so knew the quality would be good - works well and the coffee is much the same. The fiddly part comes in setting the quantities of water / milk. However once you get it it is fairly simple and then the machine goes from good to great. The milk attachment is easy to store in a fridge and takes enough milk for a few coffee's (should this be your style). The top is a a 'warm' plate as well so you can keep one coffee warm whilst waiting on the other. I like to grind my own beans and like the fact I can choose which beans to use - rather than bean to cup. For the money this is a very good bit of kit with clear display and Beko reliability.
