2 months of continuous use review
If you are installing this as a DIY'er it is important that you understand how to use an A/C manifold guage set and vacuum pump. Follow the instructions given in the very first section of this product in amazon and make sure to use the specific refrigerant and oil given in those instructions. I have Installed this on my work truck (RAM 3500 dually) with dual 230 AH 24 Volt lifepo4 batteries in parallel as the main power source that is charged with a renogy dc to dc charger. I have run them for two months for an average of 10 hours per day with average day temperatures of 88 F° outside. Inside temp of truck without it running gets as high as 108 F°. Initial startup I run max output until temperature reaches 75 F°. Then I change to eco mode which allows lowers my battery usage but still maintains a comfortable 70-75F°. So far I have been impressed with the efficiency and effectiveness of this unit for the two months I have been running it. Although I am giving it 5 stars, there are some things that I would love to have as an American buyer. I think more purchasers from the United States would be inclined to buy this product if the remote control and the control panel on the device were in english. My purchase had all the necessary screws and materials required to set us up, but for some reason did not have an actual instruction pamphlet. If you could also put in the packaging somep type of QR Code or phone number/customer service contact to direct them to the instructions, either on your website or on the Amazon website. This would be very helpful for future purchasers

Not quality unit in my opinion
Wish I had taken a few pictures before boxing this up to return it. We were excited to get this, to install in the sleeper of our semi truck. After unboxing it and looking it all over, just did not have a good feeling about the unit being very durable. It seems cheaply made and I doubt it would withstand 6 months on a big truck. Plus the outside unit is open to the elements which is a negative. The pictures online made it appear that the ends are enclosed, they are not. Misrepresentation of what you actually will get. So this will be returned tomorrow.

Easy to install and works
I gambled and decided to take the chance on this unit I have it installed in a small shed and is running on solar and batteries Impressions: The outdoor unit seems solid and much more rugged than the indoor unit The indoor unit does not seem to be made as the injection molding was much weaker (Flimsy plastic) and the the blower fan makes some noise as if it is rubbing on something. I dont expect it to chill the shed as it is not fully insulated Install was easy.... Hang the inside Hang the outside Indoor and Outdoor units need to be within 5' or so for the wires / hoses to connect Note: The power wires seem OK and the positive is fused, but the wires definitely could be a larger size (I will see about replacing mine with a larger gauge) Vacuum for 20 minutes or so Add R134a - It uses: 600g = 21.4oz of R134a Note: The expansion valve is already installed Make final power connection and power on - mine had no issues starting up and cooling Pros Easy to install Quick shipping Oil is already added and the unit is sealed The fan speeds, eco mode may save on power, but I am doubting it, as all it seems to do is adjust the interior fan / temps The remote is ok, but in Chinese just like the indoor unit Cons Menu is in Chinese (A replacement English sticker could have been offered / applied) The drain hose is about 5 feet - recommend getting a better hose from the hardware store tubing aisle The main fuse was 100A - It should have been 45 -- The unit pull 900W / 24v / 85% = 44A This is a safety issue for sure as the 100A fuse would be acceptable for a 12V unit, but not a 24V unit The fan squeal at start up is of great concern - its almost like an imbalance causes it (This will require some looking into before something fails This would be a good add on for a truck / excavator / Small insulated Space / etc....

Great kit, unbelievable
So.. some reviews I think are buyers who weren't fully aware of what they got... this ac is amazing. I actually couldn't believe it. How cold it is. It is every bit of its BTU rating. This thing is ice cold and works great. Yeah...it comes with a piece of wood. So what.. The plastic case for outdoor unit is very heavy. Like 2x heavier than old milk crate plastic. Its solid. You can mount it on the roof, or sideways on a wall. Pull a vac for 15 mins. Then charge with 600g r134a... they give pressure ratings for your gauges, although a scale would be best. I got it pretty much on the money by weight just using gauges after weighing the cans. Hope this helps. Id prefer 24v since it's less than 50 amps draw. It cost more but man. Unless you are installing on a tractor or something with 12v. 24v is nice.

Lifepo4 Setup
Well the product is great taking into consideration the price. You should research how to set up the system. I chose two LifePo4 batteries 12v 300 A each (400$ each), 60A dc to dc charger (170$) fuses and wires (200$) And Freon itself. Overall this setup will cost you 1800-2000$ compared to the market which starts with 5k it is a good deal. Pros: Price, Performance(cold), Low noice (comfort sleep), Energy consumption is high (850 watt average). Cons: You have to research how these batteries and dc to dc charger work and how these ac works, The chinese sticker(You still can figure everything out by pressing the buttons), drain hose is too thin (i replaced it), Power connectors from compressor to the battery is too thin (I will also replace them). Overall the product is great taking into consideration the price.
