I’ve had a similar product before, but it was quite basic in comparison. The build quality of this item is really quite good. The design is reminiscent of an owl, giving it some character while it stands guard in your garden.The sensitivity option works well and is quite responsive. The frequency can be adjusted through several ranges to help deter different types of animals. I have noticed that if you set this device to operate in the low frequency ranges (1, 2, & 3), the three built-in lights don’t flash to help deter your target. However, if you adjust the device for high frequencies (4 & 5), then you get both the sound and intermittent flashing lights. This behavior is backed up by the description in the listing. However, I think that restricting the light in the lower frequency range only detracts from its effectiveness, especially considering this range is intended for rats, dogs, foxes, etc.Once assembled, it’s actually quite sturdy. I have it installed, but will need to give it some time to see just how effective this unit is. I’m plagued by foxes at the moment, so it will be interesting to see what it can do.

Well built, I will check in 6 weeks if it is effective in the long run
I have used the AA battery version of this product several times and it has never worked fully. This went on for a while, but eventually the cats came back or the animal repellent stopped working. This device is a little larger than a "normal" AA battery powered device, it sounds a little louder, and it's solar powered, so maybe it will last longer without any more acid leaking from the AA batteries.Whether this really works remains to be seen. It takes 4-6 weeks to see if the cats are used to it. For now, I will give it a 4-star rating for good build quality. If in 6 weeks the cats are gone for good, I will increase my rating to 5 stars.

Pretty effective
After trying other products to keep our neighbourhood cats and fox’s from soiling our lawn we invested in this and thankfully we no longer have to remove poo every day.It is easy to set up works great haven’t seen a single fox or cat in my garden sinceAlso it’s easy to use and it’s very durable to weather
