The item was plywood rather than basswood sheets. The product was very flat and did not warp.

I got these sheets for laser cutting but I've actually been using them so far with a vertical band saw. They're nice and flat and cut well.

This set of six 12x12x1/4-inch basswood sheets is fantastic. I like to paint on basswood, but I often find that the basswood warps once I paint it with gesso or when I paint my design on it. Since this basswood is twice the typical thickness of basswood, I was hopeful it would not warp. Thus far, I have taken one piece of basswood and painted it in two thick coats of black paint on one side and the edges. There was no warping whatsoever of the wood. There were no splinters or rough edges either. I am pleased with this basswood and recommend it to artists who enjoy painting on a wooden background.
