Parker Urban Fountain Pen | Premium Ebony Metal Chiselled | Fine Nib with Blue Ink | Gift Box

Fantastic pen, really smooth to write with. I very nearly bought one of the fancier ones at double the price but I'm so glad I went with this one! It's a good weight so is very comfortable to write with and has very smooth ink-flow, I write a lot of notes for work and after several pages I haven't had a single dry spot. I'm using the deluxe Parker converter and Waterman Tender Purple ink, written on Pukka Pad Jotta paper

Smooth writer, feels nice in the hand (but I do like a larger pen)

Well crafted, solidly built, writes smoothly. My only gripe is that it doesn't come with a refillable ink pump - instead it's comes with disposable cartridges. A fountain pen used to be refillable by design with a built-in pump but evidently the distinction between fountain and cartridge pens has been lost over time. This as sold is a CARTRIDGE PEN and you need to shell out more money if you want a refillable pump for it.

This is my second Parker Urban. The exact same model (same colour and nib) I had bought 5 years ago and used it as a daily pen on (almost exclusively) 120 gsm paper in a notebook I buy regularly. I use Parker Quink blue black with a deluxe converter. The above combination gave me great satisfaction but during the last year, the cap of the pen started becoming wobbly. As a consequence, air started getting into it (I think) and every time I started writing, I found the pen dried out. Now, for this price and after daily use for 4 years, such thing is imho acceptable. Another point I'd like to make is that the Urban is significantly better than Parker's IM models. They appear the same, same/similar nib etc. so before I bought this, I ordered an IM for a change. But with the same ink/converter/paper combo, the feeling of the pen was significantly worse in that it wrote edgy and did not flow on paper like the Urban. So, overall, for less than £30, this is a great buy.

I love the grip. It is also slightly heavier than my previous fountain pen but this adds to the pleasure of holding it. I would have preferred a finer writing - something between fine and medium to be honest - but this is a great buy, highly recommended!

Unser Sohn kam in der Grundschule mit seinem ergonomischen Stabilo-Füller nicht zurecht. Wir probierten die üblichen Füller in den Läden aus und bei allen vorhandenen Marken hielt er den Füller sehr steil und verkrampft. In meiner Schulzeit hatte ich den Lamy-Füller für Schüler und litt auch unter Krämpfen in der Schreibhand. Mein Mann erwähnte, dass er sich als Jugendlicher einen Parker-Füller gegönnt hat, also wollte der Junior auch einen und wir bestellten den Parker Vector XL mit Federstärke M. Dieser Füller ist ein Träumchen! Er sieht schick aus. Die Hauptsache ist aber, dass sich dass Schreiben damit federleicht und butterweich anfühlt. Das Schriftbild meines Sohnes hat sich deutlich verbessert. Der Füller ist leicht und schmal. Man kann die Hand damit recht flach halten, sodass sie nicht verkrampft und ermüdet. Wenn man möchte, kann man die Kappe hinten aufstecken. Dann schreibt es sich noch flacher, allerdings ist der Füller dann natürlich etwas schwerer. Die Kante, an der die Kappe anstößt, ist minimalst und stört gar nicht. Die Tinte (washable blue) trocknet sehr schnell. Ich hatte seit Ewigkeiten nicht mehr mit Füller geschrieben, doch ich war so begeistert, dass ich mir auch einen Vector XL bestellt habe. Außerdem habe ich mir noch einen Parker Urban. Mein Sohn hat ihn in blaugrün und ich ihn in lila. Auf dem Bilder sah er eher rosa aus, ich würde ihn aber als fliederfarben bezeichnen. Außerdem habe ich mir noch Parker Urban als Füller bestellt. In vibrant magenta, was ich aber als kirschrot bezeichnen würde. Vibrant trifft es sehr gut, denn der Lack hat eine Tiefenwirkung. Hier kann man die Kappe nicht hinten aufstecken, weil der Urban hinten schmaler ist. Die Greiffläche ist breiter und läuft stärker konisch zu als beim Vector XL. Der Stift wiegt auch deutlich mehr und hat eben eine normale (dickere) Kante an der Stelle, an der die Kappe endet. Die Feder, ebenfalls Stärke M, ist eine ganz andere als beim Vector XL. Sie ist deutlich stärker, hat also mehr Widerstand. Die Linie ist etwas schmaler und der Tintenfluss etwas geringer. Beide gefallen mir richtig gut. Für längeres Schreiben würde ich den Vector XL bevorzugen.

Rien à redire le stylo est arrivé rapidement chez moi, l'emballage intact Le stylo en lui même est très beau, il a une bonne prise en main, un poids agréable qui rends l'écriture facile. La plume glisse bien sur le papier et l'épaisseur du trait est, à mon avis, juste parfaite, ni trop fine, ni trop épaisse Et la dernière chose importante pour moi, c'est qu'il s'adapte parfaitement à une gauchère

Nothing great pen

Prompte Lieferung, schönes Design. Gut, aber nicht perfekt zu greifen. Leider kratzt die Feder ziemlich stark, egal auf welchem Papier man schreibt. Das ist ungewöhnlich für Parker :-/

Feels awesome and writes beautifully. Also a nice, reach design.
