Vent-AxiaPlus-HT Solo

Our old extractor fan wasn't up to the job for our en-suite bathroom. Now fitted this and it's working effectively. A tad noisy on higher settings. Like the programmable delay timer, and built in humidistat so will come on when humidity detected even if the light isn't on - great for summer / daytime showers.

Seems solidly made (as solid as plastic fans can be anyway!). Neat tidy design. The front cover is very simple to remove/refit when altering any of the timer/humidity settings. All features work well except i thought it had a speed boost function (when the pull cord is operated after.the fan is running) however this does not seem to be the case. It is slightly noisier than the Xpelair model it replaced but it was noticeably cheaper, feels better made (& the blue 'on' light looks better than the old red one!) & hopefully will be more reliable. It also has a longer delay timer that is optional to activate. It allows use of the main bathroom light for 4 minutes before the fan comes on so when fitted to an ensuite it doesn't make any noise in the middle of the night when the 'old-mans-bladder situation occurs' !😀

I purchased this extractor fan (Solo HT model) to replace a 15 year old unit.Firstly, the delivery and packaging were spot on. The instructions could have been clearer in regards to the different functions, however fitting instructions were easy to follow for both wall and ceiling fitting, and for installing the vent flush.I ceiling mounted my unit and install was easy enough. Unfortunately didn't fit original holes drilled into ceiling, but as this unit was a little bigger, it was no issue to cover up.The unit in constant mode (which is what I was mostly interested in) is SUPER quiet. It's about as noisy as having a window open and having a slight breeze coming through. When the unit kicks into high mode (either through the delay timer, or humidistat) the noise is significantly louder, but even still - it's not as loud as you would expect.It's currently been installed for about a week, and the bathroom smells much fresher, and I'm very happy with both the quality and price I paid for it!**Review Helpful? I bought this unit for a bathroom that has a long 7m pipe run to the outside vent. It has the power to push over that length and still be quiet in operation. At least much quieter than the typical blades in a tube extractor you normally find in walls. It has a number of good features including a slow speed option that is extra quiet. A continuous low speed run option for extra ventilation. All options are configured by links inside and you need to consider what you need from the unit to set it up. I found it easy to retro-install in my ceiling and connected to a 4" (100mm) pipe. The humidity detector appears to work well keeping the fan running longer if the room has a high humidity say after a shower has been taken. I bought a second unit to be used in another bathroom as i like it so much. They are both working well and have not become more noisy with time like some do. It can be flush mounted, but I did not do that preferring to use the supplied case walls as in the picture due to space restriction in my ceiling.

This is a lot quieter than my very old one. Very happy with it.

I bought this fan a few months ago.Good points: easy to install, looks good, about as noisy as other centrifugal fans I have had, humidistat and timer delay functions can be selected at same time, also runs on for preset time once light has been turned off.Bad points: the back draught shutter is made of thin flexible plastic. It vibrates when windy outside.Note: it has a blue light which is on all the time the fan is running.

I use the 247 mode so it'd always taking out old air and when it noticed high humidity then it will go into fast mode. It's silent to work but there was a time when it was noisy maybe the plastic back draft was making noise buy maybe because I didn't put a exterior plate outside so maybe why

Works ok but after a a more than 5 minute shower the room is all steamed up. Not the greatest....need a window in my bathroom
