Well built and super fast!
The enclosure in a very nice box, with more than enough thermal pads, 2 screwdrivers, all needed screws and a very modern cable (with a LED displaying voltage and wattage). Most importantly, paired with a WD Black SN850X, I'm consistently getting 3185MB/s write and 3114.1MB/s read speeds, much faster than the internal SSD of my Mac mini M4. That exceeds my expectations. I can't tell about longevity of this product yet.

Great Product
I've waited a few months to review so I could make sure it didn't just break a week later. So far so good. I have not had any issues, the build quality is great, and it's fast transfer speeds. For some Windows 11 users, you may have to enable USB4.

Works like a champ
The media could not be loaded. This is the first reliable external M.2 enclosure that I've found so far. It's engineered and built very well. The thick aluminum heatsink top and housing is great for heat dissipation. The cable that ships with it is very short (maybe 4") but it's heavy-duty. It also has an interesting LCD display built into the USB-C plug on one side. The display will turn on when it's connected and cycle through watts, amps, and voltage every 6 seconds or so. I've been struggling to get a 2230 size M.2 drive working with more inexpensive enclosures. This is the only one that has reliably detected and kept it going so far. I've transferred several terabytes of data and no disconnections of errors so far. I know the little 2230 drive gets warm to the touch based on previous testing. However, in this enclosure I don't even feel heat coming off it. It comes with several thermal pads; two that fit across M.2 drives and two small squares. Assuming the square pads are for the controller chip. Speaking of which, it's equipped with an ASMedia ASM2464PD chip from Taiwan. It's a USB 4 / Thunderbolt to PCIe/NVMe controller. You can look up the complete specs on their website. I believe that chip, along with the high quality circuit board and components are what bump up the cost on this device. I would say it's worth it.

Blazing Fast Speeds in a Sleek Package: Hagibis M.2 NVMe SSD Enclosure
The Hagibis M.2 NVMe SSD Enclosure has completely transformed my workflow. It's incredibly easy to install my NVMe SSD, and the sleek aluminum design looks great on my desk. But the real star of the show is the performance. Thanks to the 40Gbps USB4 interface and PCIe 3.0 x4 support, I'm getting lightning-fast transfer speeds, making it a breeze to work with large files and projects. The LED display is a nice touch, providing real-time information on the drive's status and temperature. It's also incredibly versatile, working seamlessly with my Thunderbolt 4 and 3 devices. If you're looking for a high-performance SSD enclosure that's both stylish and functional, the Hagibis is an excellent choice.

excellent external drive!
This is not a cheap or poorly built drive. It is made for heat dissipation and to keep the speed of the drive you have at it's optimal ability. The heat transfer tape works well, as well as the design of the heat sink fins. The digital readout on the cable helps to know electrical usage. This is a great drive enclosure. I highly recommend it!

Excellent M.2 Enclosure
If you’re looking for a quick and easy M.2 enclosure to use, this one is a great. The M.2 installation is quick simple and easy and the large aluminum surface area keeps my M.2 drives as cool as possible when in use. With 40Gbps connection, you can utilize all of the capable speed of your M.2 drive. Since I prefer Samsung M.2 drives, my drives have extremely fast read/write speeds and this device get me access to my files at the highest read/write speeds available. Overall, I really like this M.2 enclosure; I use it everyday.

Solid aluminum, nicely built and packaged
This is a well-design and packaged product! The aluminum allow is dense and beautiful, and the finned design works as heat dissipaters. I was able to install a standard NVMe SSD drive into it, I re-used one from another external enclosure and it plugged it without any issues. The sturdy and hefty design (including the cable, it's no cheap throw-away cable) is great and it sits securely on my desk. I really like the thought put into the documentation (tiny text!) and the boxing, it's a step above most other brands.
