Sturdy box to use for mailing a laptop. Comes with fitted styrofoam to place cord and charger. Fits very snug and securely so the laptop and accessories do not jostle around when mailing. The foam pockets are clued closed cell foam. I prefer open-cell egg-crate style foam unless the pocket is exactly the right size. Thats my only problem; the computer pocket is a little too undersized for the box. The foam sides of the pocket are glued to the foam bottom, so it's not adjustable outward without cutting the side foam off of the bottom foam. To describe it differently, the flaps of the lid sides have to fit between the foam and the inside walls of the box, but there is like 3 times more space than is needed for this. About 1/4" of extra width could be utilized if the foam pocket were exactly the right size for hte box it's going in.Unfortunately, my computer just happens to be one that would benefit from that extra 1/4". I can force it in there, but I really don't like doing that as it would put stress on the already old hinge. If I had a computer that was a smaller width, it would not be such a problem since the kit includes some additional spacer foam pieces. The box appears very sturdy and reusable.It's unfortunate that Amazon doesn't allow me to set the review to 4.5 stars, otherwise I would. Demoting an entire star here is probably not warranted, but it's not a perfect 5 stars for me either.

My wife's laptop needed to be shipped off for repair and I found this box on Amazon when I was looking for something to ship it in. When the box arrived, I was impressed on the thickness and quality of the cardboard used in the construction. The "flap" closes extremely well and folds into itself really well. The precut foam inserts included is the star of this product. The laptop cutout is deep enough to protect the entire laptop and the included "shims" are a great addition to wedge in the gaps if you have a smaller laptop. The second removable layer of precut foam is where you can put in the power cord and anything else that needs to get packed with it. Everything fits inside the box perfectly, which shows how well this was designed. No complaints from this customer!!100% recommend!!!
