Grommet Tool

The media could not be loaded. Tool seems very well built and easy to use. The two grommet halves are held in place by magnets but those magnets aren't very strong. The item comes with something to punch holes in material that is thick, but I didn't have to do that with the material that I used the grommets on, which were a couple of golf towels. The Jaws don't open very wide and I had a little bit of trouble getting the material into place without displacing The grommet pieces on the tool. Also, when you grab the two different grommet halves, make sure you check that you don't have two pieces stuck together. I did that the first time and didn't realize it till afterwards. So I wasted one half of a grommet. Overall, it worked well and I see continued good use from it.

This tool is well made and works great. I had a large tarp that I wanted to use to cover my side yard. The fence and the house are not square so towards the front of the house the space between them gets shorter and the tarp was increasingly too long as I went further towards the front, making the tie down holes in the tarp useless as the tarp needed to be folded over in the shorter space. That’s what I purchased this tool for and it worked perfectly. I was able to install tie down grommets at any place I needed and the tarp is now nicely secured to the house under the eve. Highly recommend this product for its ease and solid design.

I lost my original one a while back so I got another. This works great for tarps and heavier materials. On the downside, it works poorly on think fabrics. I needed to put a grommet into a 2x3 flag I have outside and it just made too big a hole and the grommet fell out. Thin, and or, delicate, should be avoided to prevent damage. Other, heavier materials it's great.

Works great, nice clean grommets. Very easy to use and very quick process. Hole punch seems a little larger than it needs to be and it came very dull. Once I put an edga on the punch it worked much better. I also tried doing the grommet without punching a hole in 2 layers of heavy canvas and it was very easy to punch through and make a clean grommet. I tried Manrams grommet maker and this one far exceeded theirs.

This worked awesome. It cut through the lined heavy canvas case easily and neatly. I was going to pay to have it done. Never again. I can easily do it myself.

I bought the grommet tool kit to punch grommets in a hoop storage building I put up. Unfortunately this grommet kit was incapable of punching through the material and properly seating the grommets. The tool doesn't crimp them evenly so theres always material still stuck in the hole and the grommets slightly deformed. I tried to pre-cut the holes but then the grommets never clamp tight, they just float around the hole which would eventually tear apart the entire opening. The included punch is a joke. It's literally flat on the end and no amount of force is going to make it punch a hole in any material.

Great quality tool! Easy to use! Comes in a very nice case.

Used this on an outdoor grill island cover. The tool works great, but the grommets are starting to rust, so I wouldn’t recommend it for outdoor use.
