After being diagnosed with mallet finger (a rupture of the tendon at the DIP joint), I needed a splint that could get wet, could be worn under gloves, was less intrusive. This oval 8 splint was perfect. It held my fingertip in the correct position, and turned the injury from a huge annoyance to a mild inconvenience. I was able to keep it on 24/seven for eight weeks, without removing it once. I cooked, cleaned, showered, took care of my kids… it was no more intrusive than a silicone wedding band. I do recommend getting a pack of several sizes to make sure that you get the perfect fit, as it can be difficult to measure your finger properly.

Oval-8 is a plastic splint that helps stop the joint from moving. I measured for my size, ordered a 6, 7, 8. Because a 7 is supposed to fit. After trying them on, 7 is way too small. The 8 goes on but is too small . So, I ordered this set, a 8, 9, 10. These things fit 2 ways, there is a plus on one side, its a half size different. I have a trigger thumb, I’ve tried it both ways. The 8 is too uncomfortable, so I started wearing the 9. The 9 keeps falling off. Anyway, the size problem is why this is a 4 star. Otherwise, it stops my locking joint problem. And the 9 feels like it fits. I have to twist it a bit to get it on. Then it falls off while folding clothes, or in the middle of the night. Which is what just happened and I can’t find it. I will probably order a 5 pack of 9’s.

This product is well-made and does exactly as it is intended to do. The fact that it is skin toned no one has ever even noticed that I had it on, and that I was using it. It’s very sturdy and very comfortable. I’ve bought others that have Velcro and found them to be very uncomfortable and considerably more difficult to use. This item works so well that I don’t need it anymore.

These are good but one size too big, next down size too small. So I wrap a piece of tape around the larger size.

I bought the 8-9-10 size for my left thumb form suspected trigger finger. A variety of sizes is great to have bc sometimes my finger swells after doing therapy on it. This item allows me to wash dishes, shower, wash my hands, etc without having to remove any kind of splint or wrist brace like before. Being plastic, it’s easy to clean, sanitize, doesn’t attract pet hair or dirt, or hold odors. Such a simple design and keeps my thumb from popping in and out of place. Measure your finger.

Not worth the price! It broke with the week and the largest size was the only one that fit. I ordered the 3 pack and size 7 the middle size was what should have fit perfectly thier chart. I figured if my finger swelled i could use the larger one etc . Don't waste your money. Messaged seller and got no reply. I should have returned them.

Appreciate the ability to use the larger side of the splint. When I have difficulty putting it on and taking it off. Great for my arthritic fingers.

Although orthopedics recommend this type of splint, it did not work well for me.
