A worthy addition to the tool shelf!
This Plasplugs tile cutter has been a god send! I borrowed a smaller version some years ago, but this one is so much better. It is a better size, less messy and easy to use. The guide bar is sturdy and solidly locks in place so that you get accurate repeat sizes when necessary. The splash guards are effective and keep the spray down to a minimum, which is useful as I used it inside.I would definitely recommend this tile cutter, especially having read reviews of other makes. It is reasonably priced and effective, what more is there to say!One other thing, I ordered it on a Thurs pm and was told it would be delivered on the following Mon or Tues. It arrived just over 24 hrs after I ordered it, another plus!

Brilliant value and excellent performance 5*
I bought this to cut split face quartz tiles. Due to the natural features of the tiles they vary in thickness from 10mm to over 20mm. This tile cutter cut through them with ease. The splash guard does a good job in keeping most of the water on the tile and not on you, you just have to adjust it and not have it too high off the tile, I cut plenty and was never soaked. Keep an eye on the the water level and keep it topped up and it makes your tiling job a lot easier. Make sure you regularly rinse of any debris from the top of the tile cutter to give you a smooth cutting surface. I would recommend this for any DIY tiler.

Great little machine
The only thing that I think would improve it is having a table top extension. But that is the only thing wrong with it ( but i am being very critical ). For the money you could not really ask for more.I was cutting 600 x 300 x10mm porcelain tiles. It cut brilliantly. It does tend to chip the last bit of the tile but if cut face side down it gets over this problem because it chips on the back of t the tile where it’s not seen.

Great tile cutter!
Great little tile cutter. Easy to set up. Used it to cut some hex floor tiles. The cutting guide is OK, but is a little bit fiddly to get a good 90° setting. As the tiles overhung the front edge of the base prior to and at start of cutting, water tended to seep along and drip off, so suggest use of a towel. Maybe have longer legs at the front to keep water in.As I was cutting hex tiles, there was nothing to place the point of the tile in against the cutting guide. The supplied adaptor is fine for 90° corners, but could do with a hex point adaptor on the opposite side, allowing the tile to slide along squarely.I had to cut about 30 tiles, about 49 cuts in all and the cutting disk just lasted. All in all, a, great machine.

Works Well - no limit to tile size
I used a previous version of this with a smaller cutting disc. This one is much better: quieter, more robust … just better. I have another tile cutter (for straight lines) but this is great for everything else - also good for straight cuts but not as quick.I know it looks like a bit of a DIY product (a bit like a toy) but in my opinion it is as good as, if not actually better than, the large professional tile disc cutters.

I bought this to cut some 600 x 300 floor tiles. It worked well. Even though it recycles the water it doesn’t work on tiles that are bigger than the bed of the machine (as I found out) - lots of water over my workbench, so I moved it to the floor of the garage. The other problem I had is that it tends to remove a small piece from the top of the tile at the end of the cut. If I turned the tiles over the piece was now from the bottom of the tile, which was no longer a problem.

Plastic deck and gate
Bought this to use on a few tiling jobs. It's pretty compact and doesn't need loads of water in reservoir however the gate setting is fiddly and awkward to set accurately, even worse if coated in cutting debris. I would have purchased a cutter with a metal deck and standard gate if had known. It did the job just about. Does pack down well as easy to store but would only recommend it for occasional use. Professional??

Worth every penny
First time laying floor tiles (8mm ceramic). Easy to set-up and operate. It’s a messy job to do but reading other reviews it became clear that keeping the water reservoir topped up with sufficient water (not full) provided the right balance between keeping the cutting wheel cool and not getting water everywhere. Straight cuts were easy, just letting the cutter take the tile at it’s own speed. It was also relatively easy to cut shapes, round the bottom of the stair riser. Really pleased with the finish. Well worth the spend.
