It smells as if it has been kept for many years. Does not smell pretty at all. I'm not sure of it's supposed to be scentless (again it smells like old makeup that's starting to go bad) I am wondering if I can get it replaced just to see if they are meant to smell stale? I'm giving this a 3 for presentation but will update this post as I get a new one and try the actual product.

My skin is very sensitive, and I mean Neutrogena made me break out sensitive, so I have to be very picky about what products I use. Getting this set for Christmas made me really nervous but the person who gave me the gift sent me the link for the item so I could see all the details and reviews as well. I’m glad I decided to use this set because my skin loves it. The products are gentle yet effective and have left my skin soft and glowy after just a week of use. Using this set each night has become a little ritual that really helps me wind down at the end of the day. Even the BB cream has been integrated into my makeup routine easily and makes me feel very pretty. The cleanser is a little runny and comes out of the bottle without me having to squeeze it so it’s easy to accidentally use too much at first and the toner and lotion bottles can be stubborn and not want to open sometimes. 8/10

The packaging is very pretty and conveys luxury. A quick google search defined ganoderma lucidum as Reishi mushroom. Google Translate shows the manufacturer as Guangzhou Biying Cosmetics, which creates wholesale skincare sets that they rebrand for other sellers. So this particular set is branded ‘Shiouquan’. Google translate of the ingredients showed reishi mushroom, avocado butter, hyaluronic acid, macadamia oil, black sesame, centella asiatica, camellia, fermented soybean, aloe etc. A lot of these are ingredients in Korean skincare that I am familiar with. The set includes a cleanser, water toner, essence lotion, eye cream, moisturizing cream, bb cream, dragon’s blood noble lady cream and 3 essence toner serums. I actually really like everything in this set. I’ve tried all the lotions and serums, and my favorite is the bb cream. They all have a light scent that is a little flowery and spicy at the same time, but not strong or offensive. I have no idea what grade skincare this is in China, or how safe their skincare standards are in comparison to the US, but I did enjoy this set.
