This works great! Nice
This works great! Nice, solid metal, I put it on the end of a shower hose, before the sprayer. This is for my 98 year old mother, making it much easier for her to turn the spray off and on without having to bend to turn the faucets off. My only beef is that there's no washers or maybe a little plumbers tape to make sure it's sealed. Once attached, it's very easy to flip on and off. I've bought a couple different shutoff valves in the past for my own house, that were flimsy plastic, hard to turn off or on without almost unscrewing the shower hose, and easily unseal to leak.

Perfect. No leaks, here’s why.
Here’s the deal, it needs more than the usual amount of teflon tape, but enough is included in the package to successfully install with no leaks.Wrap the tape around your water pipe, begin at opening with 4-5 wraps then building wraps up to 12 wraps to create a kind of cone shape. Then screw on female end of this valve to pipe. No washer needed. On male end of valve wrap tape in normal fashion, about 6 wraps. Screw on shower head.If you experience leaks, add more wraps.Once together it’s a smooth operator and looks very nice.

Ass Backwards
It is a very good valve. Nice looking, easy to operate and shuts off easy and completely. The only problem is that it's ass backwards. When the knob is inline with the valve the water is off and when the knob is 90 degrees with the valve it is on. The is backwards with any lever valve I have seen. All in all it is a good valve.

Works great!
Using the valve on my hand-held shower so I don't waste water while soaping up. Valve is ALL metal (no plastic parts) and completely shuts-off the flow of water (without leakage). And as others have suggested, I used LOTS of "plumbers tape" - and there's no leakage around the threads either. Very happy with this device.

Me run You run Weirun
It's made with the wrong tread. In the description it tells you it's the wrong thread. It needs to be pipe thread but it's not. If you have it now you'll need to make it work. The easy part first. Pop the chrome cap off, undo the screw and select a spline that works so the handle is "on" when parallel with the pipe. Next... You'll need more Teflon tape than what they give you so order more or get more before you take your shower apart. Again, it needs to be pipe thread but it's not. Pipe thread is tapered so it jambs-up and seals after several turns. Making it worse, my pipe bottomed out inside the valve after about 6 turns. If you have a hacksaw cut two trends off the end of the shower arm (bent pipe coming out of the wall) and wrap at least double the amount of Teflon you would expect to use. If it's not enough start over and use more. You'll understand why you needed more Teflon about now. Finally, check for leaks.Difficulty... 1 beer rating. If it all goes wrong 6.I don't think a plumber would touch this thing at any price.Pics show the correct pipe tap. You can not retread the hole because there is not enough metal left. The tap screwed in and stopped after hitting the metal inside. Try screwing your shower arm in with no Teflon, maybe you'll get lucky and extra Teflon will do it. I took the shower arm out of the wall to see if the other end fit better. With the arm out I put it in my vise to cut it.. if i had to do it again I would take the arm out of the wall from the start. Threads on the shower head side are the same straight thread. Your shower head might have a gasket or restrictor to seal against, mine did not so lots of Teflon there too. Once it's installed you'll be happy, it works well. They make thicker Teflon tape. Good luck

Excellent Product for putting a cork on a leaky shower
We recently ran into an issue with a shower that was leaking because the seat in the faucet handle had corroded and stripped in attempting to remove. The leak was so bad that we were leaking at least 20 gallons a day. As we had no access to the plumbing, we were on the verge of thousands of dollar in plumbing and back wall removal. This device allowed a cap to the leak, continue to use the shower, and extend the time to prepare and save for this repair.

Works well
We swapped our showerhead for saving water, but it turned out the showerhead gives too much pressure for our comfort. This valve fixed the issue. No trouble on installing one, no leaks yet, and easy to use.

Poor connection method, bad tape
The input side of the valve does not have a rubber O-ring nor an independently rotated fastener. This means you can't rotate the valve into a usable orientation if you don't happen to luck out. I tried using the Teflon tape this came with twice, with increasing number of wraps, and it still leaked. First attempt with my own tape worked fine.

Nice solid water valve.
It is nice quality. As one review indicated the end that connects to the shower pipe not enough threading to prevent droplets of water. I had to use more plumber's tape and higher up on my pipe in order to stop the small droplets. Otherwise it looks nice with my hand held shower. The handle that controls the flow is very easy to use. It also lower my hand held shower so we don't have to stand on our toes to put it back.
