Are these men's pants
Petite is definitely short. 6 waist fit snug - there is no stretch in these pants. But the pant leg itself i so wide it is humorous.

Great material but tight on waist
I purchased a size up and the waist was tight.Otherwise, really good material for work and just wished that the fit was true to size.

Five Stars
Exactly what I was looking for. Be aware though, they make a kind of swishy noise when you walk.

If you plan on buying these and are plus size, measure near the bottom of your ribs, not your actual waist!
Girls, beware that these pants sit VERY far up on the waist. I'm talking like right below the ribs.If you're a plus size woman, such as myself, you may want to avoid these pants.Don't get me wrong, they look very nice and I'm sure they're durable and all that, but the cut just does not fit larger women well.I typically buy Levi's Signature mid rise boot cut khaki jeans from Walmart, but they tend to wear out very quickly, and I've had good experiences with Dickies in the past, so I thought I'd order a pair.I measured, remeasured, measured again, then had a friend measure my waist (belly button level) and hips to make sure that I got the right size, but since I didn't measure around the bottom of my ribcage, my measurements were incorrect (?).I know Dickies is a good brand, but the cut of these particular pants really needs to be adjusted for plus size women.

These pants last. I love them. I ended up buying six pairs for work. They are convenient. I HATE to iron. And I have to wear these five days a week for work. But these - no matter how wrinkled they might look I just give them a shake and put them right on and they look great. So many times I have bought clothes they claim to not need ironing only to discover that really wasn't the case. But these - they could be rolled tight in a ball of wrinkled mess but I put them on and they look perfect. And my God these things are comfortable. Soft and flexible. Easy to move in. I bought them for work buy I wear them all the time. I forget I am wearing them they are just that comfortable. And they are resilient. I work in the back of a store - in the warehouse. It is common for clothes to get destroyed from abuse. But these are still going strong over a year later. And they have been through Hell. I wash them weakly - I wear a new pair every day. I jam tools in the pockets when I do repairs on the store floor. I am crawling on the floor and digging around under shelves and in the bowls of store displays. I bike daily to work in every kind of weather. If they make them for kids buy them - they will survive the most active of children. I am amazed they are in still in such excellent condition - seeing them you would not believe the abuse they have been through!!

Easy care pants!
I ordered a size 12, which turned out to be a larger than I needed, so I ordered size 10, which fits perfectly. I normally wear size 8, so the advice to order a size larger than you normally wear was correct in my case. If one has a rounded rear, these pants may not fit very well. However, they are worth a try since you can always return them. So far, these have been great for work. I pull them from the dryer right away and they look good to go without ironing. For me, the length is just right. There are real back pockets and the front pockets are deep enough for me to put my hands in (some pants for women have the smallest front pockets). I like the right pant leg side zipper pocket for putting my phone in when needed. One could fit a roll of electrical tape, bandage tape, or small notebook in there. I have not used the left leg side pocket, but could use it for a couple of pens, a small flash light, a knife, small scissors or some other useful item. I ended up purchasing a few pair of these for daily work wear and plan to order a couple more in the near future.

Fits great! Needs more pocket space for ems
I have had nothing but trouble finding cargo pants that actually fit. I'm only 4'11 and very curvy. So I have a difficult time finding something that will go over my hips and still fit my waist without them coming to my boobs. My weight fluctuates between 125-135. Here lately nothing fits me that well and these were so much better than I expected. So glad they actually have a petite option. I do wish they had more pockets for work or even a clip for my shears, but other than that I adore these and will be buying more. I wear a 4-6 petite in normal jeans, I went up to a 10 in these. They are a great fit, room to move and work. I don't want my work pants to be form fitting, I like to look professional so I suggest going up a size or two if you need room to move for work. Great for ems, other than the one small cargo pocket.

Inconsistent sizing
I had ordered a pair of these before and loved them, so I ordered a second pair in the exact same size and color. The second pair was smaller than the first by about an inch. I'll be returning the new pair and have to decide if I will reorder the same size again or go up a size. The last pair fit perfectly and I don't want to end up with a pair that is too big or another pair that is smaller. This picture is of the new pants on top of the pair I bought previously.

Great if you like to be comfortable at work
although I wear a size smaller in the other Dickies brand pants, I wound up getting these a size up because they don't have any give. These are the only pants I want to wear to work, I'll probably get another pair. The right lower pocket will fit a small cell phone, a few pens and a small set of trauma shears, the regular pockets are a bit small, but are the only place I can put my iPhone 6S+. It sticks out a bit, but I've never worried about losing it on a call. The left lower pocket is perfect for a set of keys, some spare change, but not much more. It's very small. The belt loops - 9 of them - will hold up to plenty of radios and paraphernalia that we have to carry on belts at work. I do recommend a nylon tactical belt, as my leather one doesn't like to slide through all those loops. The tactical belt is perfect. These pants have held up through roughly an entire half of the summer working at 2 EMS jobs. They fit like regular pants, feel like I'm wearing slacks (instead of my heavy duty EMS pants), and I'm ordering another pair because I really like them. They are thinner, though, and probably won't feel quite as warm in 6" of snow.I'm a larger woman, I normally wear a 20-22, but I have these in a size 24 because of the nature of EMS work and needing to be able to move.

LOVE THESE
Love these pants. I want a pair in every color. I am 5'3", 165 lbs and the 14's fit just a little loose, but not loose enough for me to go to a 12. I definitely need a petite length. All the Dickies pants I buy in regular length need hemmed. Also the wrinkle and stain resistant parts are true. They never seem to wrinkle. Even leaving them in the dryer over night, I take them out, shake them and they look brand new. Stains seem to come out rather easily. All regular dirt comes out with just a regular wash. The one time I dropped oily fries on my leg, I put some Dawn dish detergent on the stain before I washed them and it came right out.

Check Measurements
Be SURE AND check your measurements. I normally wear a 12 but after double checking my measurements I decided to order a 14 since it was so close and I knew these would not STRETCH. I am very pleased with the 14. Really like the pants. Very comfortable and do not wrinkle, which is a plus. Just be sure and check your measurements.

Small Fit, Small Pockets
I work in a factory and need pockets for many tools, pens, writing pads and so on, so I wanted cargo pants. As usual, women's pants don't understand that pockets actually are meant to serve a purpose. The cargo side pocket is only as large as the back pocket on a pair of men's carpenter pants and the normal pockets only barely fit my hands. Also, I listened to some of the other reviewers and bought a size up. The size 18 fits like an rigid 16. So yes, order a size or two higher if you have wide hips. The material feels sturdy, however, so I will keep the pants since I need them. I wore out most of my jeans already since it's so hard to find fitting women's work pants. Dickies stuff usually holds up pretty good, so they should be usable if not quite what I was after.

Fit not for curvy gals
I normally wear a size 14P or 16P. After reading the reviews, I decided to get an 18P, and they are too tight everywhere. If you are a little heavy in the waist, go at least 2 sizes up. The button closure is cheap, and the zipper is mediocre, but the material and the stitching are very good. I am 5'3 1/2", and the length is perfect. My inseam is 28" to the ground. I just got one pair because I was concerned about the fit for my curvy body. I would recommend them for a more slender body only. Wish Dickie made more styles with the 65% polyester/35% cotton blend...easy care. Technically, if 18 Short was available instead of 18 Petite, I would have gotten the 18 Short. Petite slacks are too short-waisted for me...even when I was skinny! Most short women are long-waisted, so petite sizes can be a conundrum! Never understood why the clothing manufacturing industry as a whole does not recognize this fact.
