These are realistically the only option you should look at for DVD DL discs. I've burned 10 of these for home videos and they're all great.

These days when USB drives are ubiquitous, there isn't much need for DVD's, even dual layer, but why should I tie up a 64-gig USB drive for an 8 Gig IS0? They work fine and they are perfect for burning ISO's or testing videos on a TV via a DVD player. Sometimes the same colors that work on a PC don't do so well on a 1980p or 4K screen. These being rewritable are a perfect test bed.

I been using verbatim for years to backup my old videos and computer files and there just solid. These double layer ones are great you get way more space like almost 8.5 gbs so you dont need a ton of disks for stuff. I burned through pretty much this whole spindle and i think i only made one coaster which is a real good record for DL discs. Its hard to find good quality dvds anymore but these ones always seem to work fine in my burner, there my go to for sure. It definitely helped when my computer crashed I was able to make and retrieve my previous saved information off the disk.

Great discs, but Amazon keeps shipping them in an unpadded bag so that the plastic container gets banged around and shattered.

These “Life Series” blanks should be discontinued. They are junk. Five coasters out of 25 discs is a failure of a product. No it isn’t my drive or machine. Using a brand-new Plextor burner, these discs started failing repeatedly at the layer transition. What makes this especially frustrating is that the failures aren’t a single app glitch. The Finder and Roxio Toast both failed. Toast reported a device-level write failure: Sense Key = MEDIUM ERROR / Sense Code = 0x0C WRITE ERROR. The burns consistently die around the 50% range, which is exactly where dual-layer media is most sensitive (layer transition). These should be discontinued. Only buy Verbatim “DataLifePlus” discs…never these.
