Great read and a great resource
Fleur and Charlotte are two of the most highly respected professionals and practitioners in the field of Diversity and Inclusion. Not only do they have years of experience and knowledge they have also delivered results within the organisations where they have operated.Within this book they go back to basics and give a practical roadmap for any organisation or individual wherever they are on their D&I journey with very clear and engaging examples of good practice and the possible pitfalls to avoid. For any organizations who really mean business then this book can help them to create an environment where every one of their employees can feel valued and be empowered to deliver the best results possible. Whether they’re starting on their journey and want advice on how to create the best strategy or whether they’re a way along their journey and want some inspiration as to what they can do next (or indeed what NOT to do next), then this book has the answers.I wish this book had been around when I was operating in this field heading up the D&I function for a global pharmaceutical company, it would have been an invaluable tool and go to resource. It’s also a very enjoyable read, not something that can be said for many books with the same subject matter.

A must read for anyone serious about reeping the benefits of a diverse workforce
A difficult subject - I had expected a hard read. However, the book is a practical, easy reading step by step guide for businesses wishing to take the challenge of creating a diverse and inclusive workforce. Statistics highlight the benefits of taking steps towards a diverse and inclusive workforce, but the challenges that we face are not ignored as Charlotte Sweeney and Fleur Bothwick relate anecdotal stories. At the end of each chapter there are key manageable take away action points. never have I highlighted so many sections in a book! Charlotte and Fleer's experience, passion, drive and commitment to embedding diversity and inclusion as a business strategy comes to life throughout. A must read for businesses, industries and leaders serious about promoting diversity through engagement, strategy and culture change.

Great content, paperback poor quality
So far it’s a great read BUT would highly recommend you purchase a hardback because with only a few days use...my one has ripped. I’d return it but unfortunately I’ve written notes in it. Other than the quality of the book, the content is fantastic and easy to read.

A must for D&I Professionals
I have been thoroughly enjoying this book and spent most of the Christmas period engrossed in it. It is great to finally have something for D&I professionals to come back to as it can be an isolating role. My copy is now covered in highlighter and notes - a sure sign it is already being put to good use.

Its a fantastic book - I found it to be informative and very practical. I particularly liked the 5 takeaways from each chapter. Having worked in diversity and inclusion for over 20 years its one of the few books I would certainly recommend.

DIssappointed
Devoid of insight or dynamism - this was a real disappointment. And if it represents what people like the authors do all day, it’s no wonder the inclusivity dial is shifting so slowly. Was really hoping to get some understanding about who the inclusive leaders are, what they do, how they influence others, and how they respond to resistence and indifference

Damaged in shipping
I bought this book for a class. When I received it had some damage to spine and some pages were bent with creases. I am guessing due to shipping but I didn’t want to send back because I needed it. Content was decent.
