A Quick and Easy Way to Check for H. pylori
My husband was feeling under the weather with a persistent stomach ache, GP issued pills several times, but they were not working well. Therefore, we decided to give this test a try. It was super easy to use and the results were clear. It turned out he did have H. pylori! It was a bit of a shock, but it was good to know so he could tell the GP and start treatment. If you're experiencing persistent stomach issues, I'd recommend giving this test a shot. It might just save your time to figure out what happened to your stomach!

Easy to use
Product arrived in good time. Easy to use product and instructions that are understandable. Used my own method for collecting the sample - the paper strip sent with the test seemed a bit of a task. Overall all good and tester seemed to work ok

Easy enough, but planning is required.
I have been suffering from gastritis off and on for several months. Desperate for answers I decided to take this test. I read the instructions before and made sure I understood them, I didn’t want to have to decipher them under pressure.Included in the test pack is a strip of paper that you can stick to either side of the toilet bowl to catch the stool for testing. I took one look at it and thought, Never! My aim concerned me as well as the weightiness of my stool. And so I devised an adaptation whereby I placed cling-film over the toilet bowl, then the strip of paper, with toilet seat down I was ready. When the time came I quickly realised my mistake. I had overlooked the fact that one cannot poop and not pee. I tried. I found myself in an emotional state of stopping and starting, but it really is impossible. Oh dear, I thought, it’s all going to roll off the sides of the cling-film and on to the floor. Luckily, as stated before, my stools are on the weighty side, which caused a makeshift cup into which everything pooled. Incidentally, another flaw to my cling-film plan is that all you want to do once the deed is done, is clean yourself with loo paper. Where does one put the dirty toilet paper when the toilet bowl is sealed shut with cling-film? – it was at this stage I realised I hadn’t thought this through enough. When I rose and looked at the abomination balanced precariously on my toilet, I was shocked to see the supplied paper for catching the stool had disintegrated. And so I felt somewhat justified in my choice to use cling, even if the execution of my plan was somewhat ill-considered. I reached for some nail scissors and pierced holes in the cling, allowing the liquid to escape, leaving the much-needed chunks. The test itself was easy to understand. Unscrew the blue probe and stab the stool in three different places. I must say, I was rather impressed with myself at this point for producing such a soft and, dare I say, luxurious poop. Whatever else is not working in my tummy, at least I can say that part is good. The probe goes into the liquid, you give it a good shake, then leave for two minutes. It’s easy to lose track here because there’s so much cleaning up to do (where to put the cling-film!?!?) and so I would recommend using a timer because the instructions state two minutes, no more, no less. After that, and after shouting to my husband, ‘No! I’m fine! Don’t come in!’, two drops of the liquid are then placed on the tray, and one must wait a further ten minutes. Again, no more and no less.It was clear to me after ten minutes that I didn’t have any H. pylori in my stool, which is bittersweet, because sadly for me and my tummy troubles, it’s back to the drawing board.

Rubbish product. Don’t waste your money
Arrived on time. However I carefully followed the instructions but it did not work. I even tried again with the second kit. No luck. Despite providing a sufficient sample, it was stuck & did not show any valid results. Total waste of time & money!

Great little test, difficult to use!
Gives a test result really fast, but use as many drops as you can. Ease of use, not so great. Now before I start, let me tell you I'm not great with excrement. This thing comes with a poo collector, but I loaded that thing up so heavy it just broke and fell into the bowl. Nevertheless there was plenty sticking up out the water for me to sample. By this point I can hardlly look at it, it's revolting. By the time I stick my hand in the bowl, I'm dry heaving. Tears streaming down my face, I can hardly see. I manage to get some into the pen thing without getting any on my fingers. I'm straight gagging. I can't see. Then you have to shake it up and break the tip off. Well, I broke off the tip and a whole streak of poo water went up the wall. My God. I had to stop and dry heave again. I managed to get the rest of the poo water into the test thing. Then I cleared everything up and triple-bagged it, washed my hands and had a lie down. The test came back negative. Thank you Jesus.

Make sure you are not rushed and plan beforehand!!
I suffered from gastritis due to h-pylori over the summer and had been concerned, due to a few symptoms, that it had returned despite the antibiotics. I used this test - made sure I had plenty of time to read instructions and follow the specific timings and was pleasantly surprised by how easy it is to do and the fact that my result was negative. This might be due to the fact that I have been taking H-Pylori fight supplement found on here and it's really helped me get back to normal. I bought a pack of two of these tests incase I messed it up but now I have one on standby incase symptoms return. I believe that this test may show negative if you have been taking PPI (this happened to me in the summer) so take advice if you are on medication.

Assume it works
I tested negative so can’t tell whether it works and is reliable or not. But easy enough to use.
