Not entirely as advertised
No matter what anyone tells you, indoor plant lighting is more about light intensity than color spectrum. AeroGarden, for example, uses something like 90% white LEDs with the remaining 10% being red and blue. But when you go shopping for LED grow lights, they’re pretty much always blue and red only. That may help slightly with growth but they look unnatural and synthetic to the human eye, making the plants something of a eyesore rather than an example of nature inside your home. Sunlight is white, the full spectrum of all colors, not blue and red. The sun is not purple.I have three AeroGarden Harvest units in my kitchen that I use to grow kale and herbs, and they grow prolifically. What’s more, they add a sense of life and nature to my kitchen. I also had an AeroGarden Extra unit, with a 30-watt LED light hood, in my kitchen growing cherry tomato plants. Unfortunately, the 30 watts of light wasn’t quite sufficient. Their Bounty units employ 45 watts but are significantly more expensive, so with my tomato plants already mature and starting to fruit, I elected to buy this unit to in order boost the current unit’s light output. Though it’s rated at 25 watts, the manual says the actual wattage that goes to light production is more like 19, which is still more than enough for my application. Of course, they’re blue and red LEDs only. You should note that the light wands get pretty warm, even hot to the touch. Not so much that they’re likely to start a fire or anything, but you definitely need to keep them a couple inches away from any foliage. This is true of all indoor light sources and they’re probably warmer than my light hoods simply because they’re generating light from a smaller surface area. Also, the photos suggest that the clamp works as a nice stand for them when in reality, you have very limited options for how you position the bulbs if you want the clamp to act as a stand — The clamp is way too light for most configurations and needs to be used as the clamp it is, instead.Anyway, adding these fixed the issue I was having with my cherry tomato plants. The leaves mostly stopped withering and, with them set out to the sides of the light hood, I’m able to grow the plants wider as well. But here’s the rub: They’re no longer in my kitchen. The artificial color of the lights ruined the “nature inside” feel of my kitchen, so I moved them to a less frequented area of my home. One other note about this product: It’s advertised as having a light timer and that’s absolutely true. You can set the timer to 8, 12 or 16 hours. You set it, the time expires, the lights turn off. But bear in mind that that’s all that happens. The next morning, they don’t turn back on to repeat the schedule. Instead, they stay off until you turn them back on again. And if you want to run them on the same schedule, you now have to toggle through the timer settings back to the previously chosen one, because they come on at the next setting instead of the one they were previously set to. So, if you ran them for 12 hours, when you turn them back on again the next day they’ll default to 16. If you want these lights to be on for a certain period every day, automatically, you’ll need to skip their built-in light timer, set them to “on” and plug them into an external light timer. These lights are NOT automatic.Between the clamp as a base issue and the light timer limitations, I’ve docked the product 2 stars. As for the blue and red LEDs, I knew what I was getting myself into. If you have a dedicated growing room or are growing weed in your closet or something, the color spectrum probably won’t matter and might even improve your yield a tad. If you’re keen on bringing nature indoors, these are anything but natural looking.

Does not turn back on!
The lights work just as advertised. I ordered two and one arrived broken but was easy enough to fix (caution the metal fins are SHARP!) The lights are bright enough and the timer does turn the lights off after the specified period but it does not turn them back on. You have to manually go and reset the light brightness and timer every day (or every few hours depending on the time you set). This is the only reason removed a star, otherwise great product.

DON'T BUY !!! The seller doesn't honor the warranty !!!
I've bought two of these grow lights and the last one didn't last two months. One of the reasons I bought the lights was the one year warranty that they have posted. The controller burned out on the lamp and it doesn't work. We have contacted multiple times with this issue and they keep asking if we want a copy of the invoice. I don't need the invoice, I want them to honor the warranty. Very unhappy with the seller. They get a zero rating for poor customer service but it forces me to pick a star.

Nope! Bummer
I've purchased several clamp grow lights from other sellers that were much better quality! The light housing was loose, the connection is bad and the lights no longer work after only using a handful of times! Such a bummer. Do not buy.

Get It. Use It.
Have plants? Love your plants? Get this. Get more than one. Timer is super. Light "volumes" are great. Easy to use. Easy to set up. Change the life of a houseplant near you. Get one and use it (on the plant, not you).

Excellent
Clip is sturdy, works very well, timer functions perfectly. And the bulb appears to be doing the job plants are still alive

Perfect for my plants
I have limited available sunlight for the African Violet I'm trying to grow so these lights are perfect,. You can set it for a set amount of time, and can control the brightness of the light that the lamps put out.

Disappointing
Ordered this on April 21st 2019 and it’s already died. When you turn it on one light comes on and the other lamp light flickers for a few seconds and then it turns off. Kinda disappointing it didn’t even last a year.
