Lid gots distorted under high heat... Heat is escaping off lid edges. The top lid is now offset and distorted after the first heat, and does not close properly. Took a long time to melt a small amount of copper. Used a lot of propane, to melt a small amount of material. NOT impressed

It's a nice kiln, but I can't get it to melt refined gold to save my life. I had to resort to using a much smaller kiln to melt 1 troy ounce. Kind of disappointed but I plan on adding another burner to it and really get things cooking.

Very easily to setup and runs efficiency. Gets to temperature quickly. Don't have to adjust air intake. This is the second one I have purchased, the first one was around $500 this one was half the price that and larger. I have no fear of of the pieces failing. The quality of the tongues are great. The only dislike is no handle to open the lid

After the 8th use the crucial pitted and cracked. Made a mess of the molton copper and ruined the insulation on the furnace. This could have been a dangerous pour had it not broken inside the furnace. All necessary measures were taken in terms of slowly heating to temperature and using only clean moisture free copper. Not happy with the quality.
