That's Not My Plane...(Usborne Touchy-Feely Books)

Love these books
We have several That's Not My... books. My daughter loved them as a toddler and still likes them as a preschooler. The babies and toddlers will love the different textures and will learn the different words for the different textures. My only complaint is that they use different adjectives for the same surface in different books. So the wings of the airplane are "bumpy" but when that same texture is used for dinosaur teeth, it's called lumpy. Same with words like fuzzy, prickly, and rough. I only mention it because my daughter is very literal and memorizes things (probably on the spectrum but not yet diagnosed) and it confuses her when we tell her it says something different than what she thinks it is.

So Cute
My 2 year old son loves airplanes! We have another book in the collection "That's not my Dragon" which is really cute. When I found this one I had to get it for him. He loves this book! It has different planes of every page that have something shiny or something to feel and the little mouse says that's not my plane until the last page he finds his plane. It's great for this age teaching different sensories and very simple. The mouse is really cute on the pages too and my son loves to find him and point to him. Great book for little airplanes lovers!

Babies & older will love it!
My son has loved these “Not My...” books since he was about 5 months old. He’s now 14 months old and still loves them. The textures and repetition are great for young ones, although my 6 year old niece enjoys these books too.

Short, but cute
I purchased this book quite a while back for a three year old with autism who benefits from (sensory) different textures. Two of the textures on different pages are the same (think the wheels and the wings have the same feel) but overall the book is cute. Since then, we've had another child who is now one and he loves it.

Nice, but modest
Son likes it (fond of airplanes), but I expected more touchy stuff in it

Great Book!
I was first introduced to That's not My Car in this series of books at my sons' pediatrician's office. He kept talking about it and I thought this would be a good one as well. It has not disappointed and both my toddler and infant love it!

Adorable!
I bought this for birthday boy who's first birthday theme is "airplanes" and will purchase one for my daughter since she loves airplanes! I like the different textures and look forward to seeing my daughter interact with this book.

My granddaughter loved it!
My 11 month old granddaughter has got a few of these books so I decided to get this one to take on the plane for her 1st holiday. It kept her occupied and was definitely a very good purchase. Sturdy and child proof!

Great touch and feel book for babies 0 - 2 years
This book belongs to the famous Usborne "That's not my.." series. It has a good collection of 6 sensory patches and corresponding words like bumpy, lumpy, sparkly, squashy, glossy and shiny. It doesn't have much words to overwhelm the toddler and is a strong and sturdy board book. It is an ideal first book for babies. But its not for older toddlers more than 2 or 3 years of age.
