Nice velour pads, does change sound
Got these in because I can't stand pleather pads at all. They also help with the stuffy feeling without having to enable sidetone. Yes they do change the sound, but I actually prefer it for gaming. I'm used to open back headphones, so these pads help lean a little more towards that direction. For music, you'll hear some bass reduction, feel free to EQ that back in if necessary. If you like velour pads, you'll know what you'll be getting into with these. Nice pads, easy swap.

Do change sound profile a bit over stock.
I think with the Dekoni Maxwell offerings I'm regarding the velour as like the sweaty gamer pads, where the sheepskin are the more audiophile pads. As such, the velour are definitely more breathable, not as sound dampening, and it does impact the sound. My experience as such essentially matched up with Dekoni's published FR graph, there was a bit of a dip in overall sub through midbass, coming back around mids and similar enough in the upper ranges. It's not such a dramatic impact that it really hurts the experience, just different, mostly subtle if you're using them for gaming.Comfort on the velour is great. Fits well, easy to install. Great if you're leather adverse. I do wish they were a bit thicker, but they're not bad for me. Might not be what people with bigger ears are looking for if you want no-touchy.

Soft Foam, Velour Fabric
So I tried the Velour and sheepskin Dekoni ear pads. The sheep skin is much more expensive. The Velour is fabric is comfortable and doesn’t create a tight seal like the sheep skin. Both the foams feel similar. Personally, I found I wasn’t a fan of velour as much as I thought I would be. I think I would prefer a smooth silk over it.These fit well on the Maxwell, press twist just like the OEM.

Dekoni makes legendary pads. And I'm still not sure how......
So somehow, over the years, Dakoni is still pumping out some of the best pads in the market. I got the opportunity to try these pads, and despite them being made out of a fabric material, the potential for them to get hot and sweaty around your ears, they do somehow manage to change the sound signature to a warm tone. Which is absolutely delightful. Some of my favorite pads are from Dakoni and they are the hybrid elites. I use them on a pair of hi-fi man 4xx.They have a bit higher asking price than some other brands. In some cases the asking price can go up to $70+. But boy do they deliver a result. In some cases it's like a 40% improvement to the sound quality of your headphones.I'm currently not using these pads on my Maxwell's.But it's extremely likely I'll switch back to them.

Decent
I typically prefer leather pads for my headphones. However, these are really good if you are in an environment where you need to be able to hear what is going on around you. These are comfortable and I use these on my headphones at work. While I am not actively listening to something, it makes it easier to hear those around me when I need to. These are decently comfortable, but I don't feel like they help with reducing ear heat.Overall, good pads. Would recommend for those that prefer velour pads or need pads that are less isolating.

Fit Like a Glove
I love the Audeze Maxwell headphones, and while the stock earpads are made of a nice leather, they do tend to keep your ears uncomfortably spicy (hot) in warmer weather. Enter Dekoni. They make bespoke earpads for a lot of major (and minor) headphone brands, and they have released some tailor made for the Maxwell. Talk about a niche product! These earpads come in sheep skin, but considering that's close to leather I don't want those, and thus I'm reviewing their velour pads instead. They have plastic notches that you use to twist them into place, as part of a procedure which is a little unnerving the first time you do it. Once you get used to it, though, you can appreciate how well they fit.The velour is soft to the touch, and keeps your ears much cooler than the stock pads. They allow more sound in since the material isn't as solid as the leather pads. However, this has a side effect of opening the headphone's sound stage a little bit, which allows the excellent audio to breathe more.If you find yourself sweating with the old pads on your otherwise excellent Maxwell headphones, get these Dekoni earpads. You won't regret it!

Comfortable-ish.
First off, this unfortunately suffers from the same issue the default pads do, though not quite to the same degree. They're incredibly shallow. My ears are not very big, but still touch the baffle slightly. I really don't want my over ears to also be on ears. It's the only pair of headphones I own that are like this, and it's a really weird design oversight. An oversight that becomes downright baffling for third party pads from a company like Dekoni. A few more mm of depth would've been very welcome. So, while I do enjoy the feel of these and find the bass you lose can easily be EQ'd back in, I'll stick with my Wicked Cushions since they are made with proper depth.
