Bought for a gift, made well and they loved it!

This is a pretty neat little decoration piece but it's not so much exact for timekeeping. I set my phone timer at 1 hour and turn this over and started at the same time and when the timer went off the container was already empty. Not by a whole lot but at least several seconds off.Is a nice looking hourglass and has solid construction considering it's glass. I don't remember why I picked green but there's other colors that are probably more aesthetically pleasing for decoration depending on your decor. I'll probably use it for Christmas time decorations and maybe an occasional timer for the kids.

I originally got this as a cute decor for game night but have since used it as a fun teaching tool for my children and how long they have for chores or home work or TV time. They really get excited by keeping track. It is a tad more fragile than I would have expected. The side are light and it doesn't have the heft you expect. But so far it has held up pretty well. Good purchase.

This is a very solid piece for the price. It's quite large and looks nice(I got the gold sand). The downsides I see with it are what appears to be very thin glass, I wouldn't expect it to resist bumps or handle moving house very easily, and some of the sand can stick to the inside of the glass meaning little lines of sand are left on the upper half when it has mostly emptied into the bottom.Mine also came with the corner bolt heads untightened which made it rickety and required tightening them in a way that kept square, not a major ordeal but if you were incautious it could lead to a wonky/leaning hourglass. The hourglass took 55 minutes to empty from one side to the other by my measuring.Overall I'm quite happy with it, and the complaints are largely minor ones. I think if the price stays under 30 then this is a clear winner for combined decor/cleaning/gaming timers for the kids.

I did not get this for accurate timing of anything. I mainly got it to add to my Halloween decor in October. Hourglasses, for me, tend to look good with caldron decorations, and this one was just absolutely gorgeous.It is impressively made and looks fancy and sophisticated. The sand is a sparkling pink and flows through effortlessly. For decor, it is definitely a statement piece and conversation starter.
