If business is going to transform its role and become a force for good and not a vehicle for greed in today’s turbulent ...
This book really sets the bar very high and challenges today’s leaders to take responsibility and become accountable for their personal ethics and the ethical standards of the organisations that they lead .And not before time! If business is going to transform its role and become a force for good and not a vehicle for greed in today’s turbulent world , then leaders need to embrace all three facets of MSC Leadership, Mindfulness, Selflessness and Compassion. If not ,they are letting themselves, their employees and the world down. The good news is that the book gives a clear roadmap how to do it, and it starts with themselves,or more precisely with their minds. They just need the courage and conviction to do it.The Mind of A Leader does not compromise and it is THE book that the (business] world most needs right now.Brilliant and inspiring, read it as soon as you canPaul Wielgus

Foundational Qualities for Today’s Leaders
I have read many leadership development books and being through many leadership development programs. This is the first time I have been encouraged to look at myself as a leader by going beyond a surface level of self awareness into a deeper view into the nature of my own mind. Now that I have read it, I can’t imagine starting anywhere else. If you don’t have some level of understanding of your mind how can you lead yourself or others or your organization. The book makes this journey into the mind clear and simple. I really valued the opportunities for reflection as well as the mind training techniques and practical applications.

Best leadership book I’ve read
The book touts leadership based on mindfulness, selflessness, and compassion (MSC Leadership). I love it. This is the most applicable and useful book on leadership I have read. I completed it as part of my doctoral program, and it was the only book I would have enjoyed reading on my own. I could see myself in every scenario the book talked about, even though the book did not always base reference around my field of education. I think business professionals would also find a lot of good advice here, as many of the scenarios seemed based in business.

Keep this Book in Mind
To be fulfilled at work and in life, people need to have a deep sense of meaning, connection with others, and be happy. Leaders will always be the starting place for fulfilled people, teams and organizations. To be prime movers, leaders need to be mindful—focused vs. distracted; selfless—humble vs. ego-centered; and compassionate—kind vs. indifferent. Mindfulness, selflessness, compassion (MSC) leadership is the core of this book. Indeed, the idea of putting other people first is at the heart of this book. Sadly, the more power we get along the journey, the less heartful we behave. This book offers a roadmap to stay on course, often despite our success. Grounded in surveys of over 30,000 leaders, interviews with hundreds of people, and an extensive review of leadership studies, this book will become a leadership classic.

Humane and practical advice for leaders
The Mind of the Leader is one of the best things I've read on the increasingly popular topic of mindfulness in business. I especially like how the authors move quickly through the how-to's for mindfulness meditation and get to the how-to's for applying mindfulness in the workplace. Their three traits of the MSC leader--mindful, selfless, and compassionate--are broadly humanistic without ever seeming airy-fairy, and their three-stage process--lead yourself, lead your people, lead your organization--is simple and effective. I've highlighted just about every page of this book and will be returning to it often. Highly recommend.

Dirty jacket
Came with a dirty jacket, more like glue or something like that, it was meant to be a present, very disappointing.
