`Does lightning cast a shadow?` ...is one of the musings from Milton Glaser contained here. This collection, spanning 50 years or more, is a delight for Glaser fans and for those interested in the world of graphic design, illustration, and fine art. If the posters weren`t so cooly contemporary and very often daring, they might even evoke nostalgia. His short texts to the left of each piece are a revelation . Glaser is not afraid to look back with a sometimes critical, almost jaundiced eye at some of his work. That`s a valuable lesson for young students entering the field-- delivered by the Master.

The perfect size volume to admire and be inspired by Mr. Glaser's prolific mind at work. Lists project dates and clients with short summaries. A few preliminary sketches, wished there were more of those.

Nice selection but ridonkulously small book
Why is a book of posters so bloody TINY? Makes it difficult to appreciate posters as posters. That said, it's well-printed, and Glaser's work is consistently brilliant. But size matters!
