Infrared FAR IR Negative Ion Portable Indoor Personal Spa Sauna by Durherm with Air Ionizer, Heating Foot Pad and Chair, 30 Minutes Timer, Large, Silver

Was ready to return it and give it the same review as the person did when I first bought it. I am a 71 year old widow. I live alone after 50 years of marriage and so I had to do this on my own. Well, it was snowing outside and I was excited to get started on my new fitness program with this sauna. I got it all set up, which was so easy. I even read the instructions but my brain got it wrong. I plugged it in, got into the sauna and got the remote. Now here is the funny part. I saw the red light and the heat number and time and thought it was turned on. Mistake. So I sat there and sat there for 20 minutes and nothing. So upset and mad because now it is snowing and I have to return. But I thought, maybe it is because my house is so cold and so I turned up the heat to 70. Then I put on one of my winter hats and covered the sauna in the front with a very light thermal blanket to get it hot. Nothing. So I then looked at the instructions again and did what it said to do and it worked like a charm. I never sweat. I can go to a gym and not sweat and so I was very excited when I did in this sauna. I drank two cups of water before and after. I got up out of it after 30 minutes to get my circulation moving again and go to the bathroom and then got back into it again. Yes, there is a stick on the right side as you are sitting in the sauna that holds up the front. This sauna is wonderful. I have a gym membership but never get there.Also, when I got out and toweled off all the dried skin, I sprayed on magnesium oil which I made myself off of youtube. It is still snowing out and I feel wonderful. Almost didn't buy this because of the bad reviews but they probably did the same thing I did.

I was very hesitant to buy this because of the polarizing reviews on such an expensive product. I've been listening to Dr. Rhonda Patrick and she convinced me that this was worth the investment in my health. I have asthma and I can't do cardio without thinking I'm going to die, so I wanted an alternative way to improve my cardiovascular health without having to run. This does the trick, getting my heart rate at about 150 after 15 minutes.A lot of people complain that it doesn't get to 150 degrees. I think that's probably true, as I did bring a thermometer in with me and the highest it got was 120 degrees. There's a few things that I think people are doing wrong of they're not sweating. Aside from turning it on properly, I think people make the mistake of not sitting back close enough to the panel. The head hole is more comfortable if you sit in the middle, but I noticed I don't sweat as much if I do. Also, try not to use the arm holes because too much air escapes, no matter how tight you zip it to your arm. This thing gets way, way hotter when I keep the arm holes zipped and put a towel around my neck to block the air from escaping there. I use it 5 times a week and I stopped sweating as much after the second week. Now, after weeks of continuous use, I only sweat the last 5 minutes. I had someone else try it just to make sure it's working properly, and they were absolutely drenched in sweat in 15 minutes so I can only assume I'm getting healthier just as I wanted.I live in an RV so I don't have space to keep this out. I fold it up after every use and while that's annoying, I haven't seen any signs of wear from doing so.Lastly, I have seen such an improvement in my skin. It's radiant and soft. I have always had ashy legs and needed to use lotion all the time but that has completely gone away! I also haven't had any eczema fair ups since using it. It's been a great investment!

The box the product was delivered in is labeled in several places in very large print as "Steam Sauna Room". I almost returned the product without even opening it as I had clearly ordered an FIR portable sauna. After examining the photos on the box I decided to chance opening it up and found that it did contain an FIR sauna. Minus one point for confusing packaging.Next I tried reading the instruction manual. Tried I say because it reads like a Chinese manual was run through Google translate to two or three different languages before finally trying English. Here are a couple of examples:"Hand fetch control explain1. open electrical source ,when TME show 40 minutes(default). the TEMP will show one file (default)2. The temp have one to six file in all .there into third file is middle temperature, the commonly we make use of the sixth file in winter and first file for invalidism haman.3. The TIME :0 to 40 minute. control go or down arrowhead can add or reduce 5 minute.""How to get rid of installation:When fit or fold prevent caspate thing stick far infread sauna room.A.Open up sauna room let far infread fever heat prick up.B.Put control into forging of bag."These are not isolated examples. The user's manual is close to incomprehensible. Luckily the unit is fairly simple and most things can be figured out using common sense. Minus one for hideously bad translation.After plugging in the unit it heated up quickly and seems to produce the required temperatures so plus one for functionality.Now for the biggie. The packaging included a loose piece of paper which asks for five star feedback and asks that you contact them if you have problems. That's fine, however it goes on to say that leaving negative feedback is against their two year warranty. Seriously? Maybe that's just another translation problem but it has no place on any product sold through Amazon. Minus one point.EDIT: The vendor contacted me via email after this review went live to assure me that negative reviews would not violate their warranty policy in spite of the terribly worded warranty info sheet included in the box. I would strongly suggest that the vendor contract someone with a firmer grasp of the English language and have them rewrite all of their documentation. I'm upgrading my review from three to four stars based on this exchange.
