Products Outstanding Coffee & Built To Last
I bought this to replace my old office coffee machine; we buy good beans but the coffee produced by the old machine was detiorating and the all the moving (but fairly low-quality) parts made it prone to failure and a pain to clean. After having it repaired twice, I decided to go for something high-end with less failure-prone moving parts, which I hoped would be more reliable and produce better results.Everywhere but on Amazon, this Sage Touch Oracle machine received fantastic reviews but the small number (eight at the time of writing) of reviews on here were really quite poor other than one 5-star review. This worried me, but after further research, I decided to go ahead anyway and I have not been disappointed. In short, this machine produces outstanding coffee; all the coffee drinkers in the office love it and I would say it is clearly superior (with good beans obviously) to Starbucks, Costa, et al. The milk frother is superb and allows you to produce near barista-quality results (texture and taste).Clearly, at approaching £2k inc. VAT this is not a low-cost machine and only really suitable for high-income individuals who love good coffee and drink lots of it, but don't want the fuss. However, for an office it is absolutely superb as it is easy to use, produces great results and is very well made.

Gone wrong in 6 weeks
It makes such a lovely coffee and it was so easy to do great taste, great colour, great froth.Well that was for the first 6 weeks now after doing it’s first descale the temperature doesn’t seem to want to move off the flashing orange circle. So I phone Amazon and they was very lovely and helped me get through to sage as it’s now to old to exchange.Spoke to sage and apparently they have this a lot there could be an air bubble so they email me over 2 step that may help. Now we are talking about an £1800 machine so now I haven’t had coffee for two days as this happened on a weekend, Step one is to now tilt this machine towards my chest while turning it on and waiting for it to heat. Easy for some people but not for me I have a arthritis in both my hands and 2 prolapsed discs in my back,Ok so I managed to do this with help from my neighbour. But it hasn’t helped, so now I’m on step 2 so I have to wait 12 hours with the machine off and both values left open, so another day without coffee. If this doesn’t work then apparently I can have a repair well thank you Sage.I understand things go wrong I just don’t feel that trying to lean my coffee machine over shouldn’t be something I should have to do when spending that sort of money

Super coffee maker
Whilst it is a highly automated machine one still needs to learn to use it. Sorting out bean choice, grind size, brew times and output needs to be learned by the operator to get an excellent coffee.

2 month's later
An excellent machine & great introduction to a proper espresso coffee machine after capsules. I had a Krupps Nespresso machine, but always had trouble with crushed Nespresso capsules due to their poor packaging. This machine is relatively easy to use & simple to keep clean. It makes great coffee & make you feel like a barista! Buyig your own beans open up a new world of coffee & we found a local guy who imports & roasts beans on the day you buy. Beans from a supermarket taste awful in comparison. So assuming that you have a great source of beans & are prepared to spend an hour figuring out how to use the machine, this is a great choice & worth the very high price. True baristas may find that they don't like some of the automation, but there are other machines in the range for them.An update after 2 months' use. There are some issues with attaching the portafilter. It doesn't click in. Turn it too tight & you get coffee stuck inside the group head, too loose & a disaster with the portafilter flying off & getting coffee EVERYWHERE. I've had it fly off 3 times - you really don't want that to happen.Next issue is the consumables & cleaning. The water filter & cleaning tablets are only available from the Sage website, except they almost never have stocks. The machine pops up messages every time to make a coffee to clean this or that, but no way to clean without the parts. Poor service from Sage.Last of all, making 2 coffees. There is a tiny touch area to switch to 2 cups, I'm used to touch screens, but I find it very hard to touch this option & the machine does not remember the setting.I am not happy with this machine considering the price & have reduced the stars from 5 to 2. It makes good coffee, but this really is to do with how fresh your beans are. Assuming you have a good source of freshly roasted beans, any machine can make good coffee, support from the company is poor. If I had to replace this machine, I would get the regular Oracle, not the Touch.

great coffee- especially the lattes
I have only had this a short while, but so far I am very impressed with the quality of the coffee, if you get good quality fresh beans into the system. The milk frother is great and takes a lot of the mess and work out of it. I was getting tired of nespresso quality and didn't want to have to train as a barista to get good quality coffee in the morning. This machine takes some of the work out of it and you end up with a quality cup afterwards. Its expensive, but so far its been really good.

Money well spent so far
Only using it for 5 days but so far so good. I have not changed coffee beans but the coffee flavour is much improved. I have not felt the need to buy a takeout coffee since the the machine arrived.I use it for Lattes and flat whites these come out with proper micro-foam. The espresso shots come out quite syrupy and creamy. You can run your brew whilst frothing the milk simultaneously. You select your own temperatures as well which is good.It is noisier than my old machine especially at night but ahh well. This machines makes me a very happy girl, you can’t put a price on that. Money well spent.
