The Most Important High Calorie Supplement For Cats With Anemia Or Upper Respiratory Infection
This is one of my most used and recommended products as a veterinary technician and cat behaviorist at a no-kill animal shelter. This product is extremely useful for ill cats who are suffering from various conditions such as anemia or upper respiratory infection. Pet-Tinic contains a high amount of iron, vitamin B12, and corn syrup which is what I was looking for a high calorie supplement for emergency cases. The amount of the iron and vitamin B12 is about 5 to 10 times higher than that found in any other supplement you can find on Amazon or in a veterinary clinic. The iron is useful because it is what makes up red blood cells which fuels respiration and blood transportation throughout the body. Also pay attention to the liver component which will also help make new blood cells. Anemic patients often die because of inadequate blood being transported to vital organs which can be verified by pale mucous membranes and being underweight. The corn syrup is useful because patients who are young or sick can quickly become hypothermic which can lead to being hypoglycemic. Being hypoglycemic can lead to fainting, coma, death. Corn syrup helps to combat hypoglycemia which is vital for young kittens or sick patients to survive. The B12 component of Pet-Tinic is an appetite stimulant which will help even the sickest cat to eat food. The combination of these three additives is what will save most kittens with fading kitten syndrome and cats with upper respiratory infection or anemia. This product is extremely affordable and will last a long time for the price. The only downside to this supplement is that it is completely black and does not taste good due to the high amount of iron. This is a small price to pay for the effectiveness of Pet-Tinic. I have used this product in over 100 cats with upper respiratory infection or anemia and have never been let down. I have even used it in a case of hepatic lipidosis also known as fatty liver disease in a 20 pound cat. I always put my money on Pet-Tinic for enticing sick pets to eat rather than any other high calorie supplement. I think that any person who takes fostering or cat care taking seriously should have this product in their medicine cabinet. You never know when you might find a sick kitten on your door stop or on the road who will need this high level of support in order to survive.

Excellent supplement!
My kitty Opie was put on this recently by his vet after a relapse. He has an autoimmune disease where his body doesn't make enough blood (diagnosed when he was 3 years old, he's 7 years old now) and has been on Prednisolone and Atopica to maintain it and has done well but recently he relapsed badly, his hematocrit level got down to 9%, he hasn't been that low since he was first diagnosed and had to have a blood transfusion. But this time he didn't need that, but his meds were increased and then we added this supplement into the mix...I feel it has made a huge difference in how fast he recovered. We checked his blood weekly for a few weeks and it went up fast to the normal range after including the Pet Tinic! (Normal range for kitties is between 30.3%-52.3%) His last test he was at 42.6%! His attitude and appetite improved really fast, faster than before! I will continue to use this for him to help keep his blood levels where they need to be! And since his vet said that his disease will start to become more challenging to regulate after relapses as he gets older hopefully this will help. It says its palatable but I think that's directed towards dogs because my Opie is not a fan of the flavor, but oh well, he takes all his meds well anyway so I'm not too concerned about that! At his dose (1.1ml 2x a day) I will probably get almost 2 months out of the bottle since I've had it for a little over a month and there's a little less than half left. Well worth the purchase!

Very helpful for kitty for kidney problems, but not for diabetics
When I first wrote this review, my kitty was not yet diabetic. Once she was, this product was a complete no-no, as it is very high in sugar. Please do make sure you get labs done at least twice a year for your senior pets to make sure your supplements are not causing any issues. Okay, read on: Our kitty is in stage two of kidney insufficiency. The original vet placed B vitamins in her lactated ringers, so she was receiving the vitamins along with her subcutaneous fluids twice a week (we had to keep the bag refrigerated and in a dark place). We switched to another vet closer to home, and they stated that the sub-Q B vitamins only are effective for a few days, so they refused to push them into the lactated ringers bag (plus, the other vet was charging $40 a bag to do so - yikes). So, I used just the straight ringers for a full month, and my cat was just pooped. Although she was eating and her labs were stable, her energy levels had plummeted. I even tried pushing vit. B-12 into her sub-q fluids while they were pumping, but there was no improvement. So, I read reviews for Pet-Tinic and decided to give it a try. After just one feeding, my cat perked up completely. It was amazing. In addition, although she was eating fine before, she is totally begging for food all of the time now, and her coat has not been this soft and silky in ages. This product also contains iron which can be very important for a pet with kidney insufficiency (red blood cell production can be adversely affected). I purchased the 4 oz bottle and poured some into an old dropper bottle to make dosing easier. I place it in her wet food and mix it up. She's eating it fine (although she won't touch it on its own). I've heard some pets don't like the taste even when mixed in food. If that's the case, certainly you can use a dropper to squirt some into the pet's mouth. If you have a pet who is showing signs of sluggishess, has lost an appetite, and/or has a skin/coat problem, I highly recommend this product. By the way, our kitty is also taking Azodyl with amazing lab results, but it has not improved her energy; thus, the need for Pet-Tinic.

These vitamins do NOT come with a dropper!!!
My Yorkie needed a little more nutrients so I went looking for a liquid multivitamin. I tried a couple that he didn't like so I sent them back. Then I found these. They were a little more expensive. I didn't like that they didn't list all the vitamins that were in this but I tried it anyway. It turns out it does have the vitamins he needs. I was so happy about that. It says it has a meat flavor. I honestly don't know what meat flavor it has but my Yorkie likes it and takes his vitamins out of a dropper, which it does NOT come with, with no problems. My only complaint other than them not listing the vitamins, is for how much these were they should have come with a dropper. I had to go out and buy one and spend even more money. Hence the 4 stars. But my baby is 10 and has bad knees but he seems to be a little more active now which is awesome. So if these vitamins are helping him, I would buy them again!!

It works.
Used this product for many years . My vet prescribed it for my cat because he was anemic and very sick. He has been getting his vitamins daily ever since and is now 10 years old and very healthy.

Literally Life Saving
This product has saved my cats life twice now. I will continue to tell everyone about it, as I been to various different vets and most times it seems that vets have no idea what this product even is - which is totally baffling to me. In September , my cat had a red blood cell count of 8% (normal range is 35-40ish). I was told she had no chance to live unless she got a blood transfusion ASAP, hospitalization, and most likely vet visits for life. I left the ER vet devastated and under the assumption I’d be back in a few days to euthanize my cat as she was so so weak and at this point I was literally oral syringe feeding her wet food with chicken broth and unflavored pedialyte for hydration. After digging on the internet, I found this product. She received .8 of a ml x2 a day 12 hours apart for a little under a month. I took her back to my primary vet for blood work and her results were within normal range. In literally 3 weeks this brought my cats HCT up to 40%. This second time around my cat had a HCT of 15. (I’m kicking myself for stopping giving her this completely, as I did for an entire 6 months.) She’s been receiving pet Tinic this time around for about a week and a half. I’m not sure where her levels as currently, but her behavior has only Improved as she’s not as weak or tired as she was even a few days ago. She’s starting to zoom around, parkour, and return to mischievous behavior . I’ll tell everyone and anyone about this product . I’ve received many diagnoses about what my cat is dealing with, but one thing is certain is that this product has without a doubt saved her life.
