Out of My Heart (The Out of My Mind Series)

Bought it for my 5th grader. He likes it.

My 11 year old just finished this and loved it!

I bought the first book for her for Christmas. This one is for her birthday this week.

I have been waiting for this book to come out. I have read the first one around 8 times. As with the first one, the author makes you feel like you are actually in the scene being described. The details given really help the reader feel how the characters feel. Not often are 2nd books just as good as the first, but not the case with this book. It is in my top 5 favorites!

It’ll never measure up to the first book, Out of my Mind, but it was fun!

My daughter loves it

I couldn't put it down! I love that Melody was finally able to prove to herself and everyone else that she was capable of doing all the things normal kids can do! The story was so beautiful and kept me on my toes too! There were times I laughed and times I cried. Such a wonderful continuation of the first book.

This is the sequel to out of my mind. It looked good when I got it. I still have to read the first book. After I read both, I’ll give a review.

I purchased this novel as a summer read for myself. My grade 6s fell in love with Melody and her story in our read aloud Out of My Mind this year. I will be adding this novel to our classroom library in September. I love Sharon Draper’s writing! I highly recommend both novels!

I ABSOLUTELY loved reading this to my client, I think more than he did. Very relatable. Every child should be read this book.

Such a great sequel to out of my mind! I read these books to my class and then brought them home to my son. All the kids love Melody and it really helped to shift their mindsets on kids who are different then them and to help them embrace their own differences.

I'm 11 yrs old and I absolutely loved this book! It is extremely well written and the story is fantastic. I hoped that I would like it as much as Out Of My Mind and it did not disappoint. In my opinion, this is a must read book.
