Katie is always there......
During a visit I invited Katie to my Rotary Club meeting. On hearing there wasn’t aSpeaker that day I leaned over to her and ask if she would speak about her transplant. She immediately said yes. She held the audience in the palm of her hand with her story. ManyCame forward after the meeting to speak to her. I was so proud of her. You seeI knew Katie from age 6 when she and Susan made rice crispy squares and pasta in myKitchen. She’s a friend and like having a second daughter. I have nothing but love andAdmiration for her family. Jane is my hero.

Katie is inspiring!
I really enjoyed reading Katie’s story about her heart disease and life after her heart transplant. Her faith and will to survive are inspiring. Her life has not been and is not easy, but she perseveres none the less. As a heart transplant patient myself, I enjoy hearing other people’s journeys. Katie’s has definitely not been easy, but she seems to have a wonderful outlook, lots of support from family and friends, and a very strong faith in God. I highly recommend this book. Katie’s story will touch you.

Wonderful book
My nephew just received a heart transplant and I was looking for more information about his transplant when I stumbled upon this book. I could not put down! What an inspiration! A wonderful biography of a very wonderful, positive and string human being.

So true, what we take for granted.
As someone who has two healthy children, I have taken for granted how lucky I am. Katie is amazing, but her family, especially her mom, is also. I can not imagine the heartache and worry in having a child as sick as Katie. Katie and Jane are both incredible people.
