I ordered this for growing mushrooms. It works very well for keeping the humidity higher as well as the heat in. I do appreciate that it comes in a small easy to collapse bag so it can be moved if necessary. It does seem that it is sturdy and shouldn't require a lot of maintenance.

The hardest thing about growing your own mushrooms is setting up a clean area where you can be certain that the only spores that get into your growing medium are the ones you want. This is a reasonably large still air box with sealable openings so you can reach in. You can sanitize it easily by spraying the interior with alcohol before using it. Overall easy to set up and use, and big enough so you can grow a fair amount of your favorite fungus. I used a combination of rice flour with moist perlite and inoculated it with spores I bought online. After the mycelium was sufficiently established I put down a layer of moist perlite on the bottom of this still air box to maintain proper humidity. I then set the mycelium on top of the perlite and in less than a month I had fresh mushrooms. Comes with two spray bottles and thermometer.
