Excellent, affordable price
100 Miles Later, Thoughts– I feel healthier, I look better, I've burned off some of my too-much-screentime pudge, I have finally grown a fat butt (in the good way). I started real slow, short bursts, going only until I started huffing/puffing. First time: level 1, 8 mph, made it 0.3 miles. [Yeah, I know, don't shame me.] I have physical disabilities: I cannot bike, run, swim, jump. This is the only repetitive-motion workout (machine) that does not cause me harm. Careful never to push myself: because if I got hurt using it, I know I would stop using it, for months. Slowly stepped myself up to faster/longer. By one month: level 1, 12 mph, nearly a mile. Now: level 2, 15 mph, 2 miles. [Hey, for someone who has been derelict for 12+ years... Don't judge me.] I use it at least twice a week, before I take a shower, having made it part of my routine. [Or if I am passing by and want to power through a quick mile, if I'm feeling like a fatty.] This elliptical has a shorter ‘gait’ than others, looks a little odd. Consider: power walking looks silly, yet it works well, which is why people do it: same concept. Shift your weight slightly and use completely different muscles. If getting tired: twist instead at your knees, thighs, hips, waist, shoulders: work more of yourself, differently. Push/pull with your arms instead to relieve some pressure from the legs. An all-around decent workout. I did not need the Bluetooth-enabled display. I care only about how far I get at what speed, and don't need my phone judging me. [Or any insurance companies buying/selling my exercise progress.] Should you care about such things, or if you require an external source judging you: spend the extra money to track your progress. The motion is smooth, but occasionally the back-end starts getting a little ‘grindy’ in tone, but that usually passes. I thought I was going to have to grease the gears, so to speak, when it started sounding worse for a few sessions, but that went away of a sudden one day and hasn't returned. The right handle clicks a bit if I grip the top-half, but again only intermittently. [A crack inside the handle, mayhap? Squeeze it just wrong and it can be heard.] Overall, this elliptical is not silent, but also not loud. Starting out from stagnancy is difficult/discouraging, but worth it, if you keep it up. Make it a part of your routine, do not push yourself too hard, and do not deviate (more than one skip-day here and not-often there). Run yourself a little less hard/long if you don't feel up to it, but do not quit. Quitters only grow fatter assess (in the bad way). For your health: here is a good, affordable, reliable choice.

simple machine for daily workout, no bells and whistles but gets the job done
Gives me a good workout everyday and I like that I can adjust the tension. I am 5'9" and had some issues knocking my knees on the handles for the first two weeks but now must be used to the machine since that no longer happens. Agree with other reviews that the assembly is annoying and tricky. Took me 3-4 hours by myself but the instructions are clear enough and the pieces well-labeled. I just took some breaks when I got frustrated before continuing. I haven't hooked up to the software or used the pulse monitor. The built-in screen doesn't always reset for me like it's supposed to so I just use my phone to keep track of my time. It's not a very intuitive program and the manual wasn't super helpful. I bought a mat for underneath the machine since it would likely shift on my hardwood floor otherwise. Machine was quiet when I first started but after about 45 days, there's now a persistent noise with the movement--can't figure out what I need to tighten to quiet it. Overall, well-worth the price and suits my needs for a daily exercise machine without any bells and whistles.

Great for the price, love it for weight loss!!
So I love this Elliptical for the quietness, and space saver it is, but perhaps this is just my unit but there is an exceeding amount of grease/oil at the joint where the left pedal meets the actual body of the elliptical. It's not a BIG deal but it gets everywhere for some reason after an intense workout, and it doesn't clean up easily. I assume over time this will lessen. I'm sure the thing is put together correctly, as the right foot has no issues, and was assembled the same way. I do also notice the left joint/body area loosens and gets louder over a few workouts, and I've had to re-tighten several times already. Again, for the price, this is no issue and I don't mind tightening it occasionally. Building this was a bit time consuming and the biggest issue I had was the tension cable attachment, as you're almost forced the break the darn thing to get it to work. I watched videos, but it always seemed like they had more slack that this tension cable (yes it was at the lowest tension as the directions indicate, but it wasn't enough). I made it work and I was cursing all the way. Works fine, and all the other elements work well. Overall I'd give this a 4/5 for some odd quirks but the quietness, ease of use and how good of a workout it gives, it's a worthwhile purchase, just make sure you put down something especially if you're on carpet for my note above. ***Update: I received great support from Sunny and confirmed it was put together correctly and the grease should dissipate over time but did offer replacement parts if need be. Now a 5/5 is definitely deserved!

Helped get my pre-covid body back and me out of my depression
For the price and the small footprint alone this machine is worth it. The psychical and mental benefits it’s brought me have been nothing short of amazing. Like so many people, I’ve packed on the pounds during this pandemic not to mention a deterioration in my mental well being. I bought this machine three weeks ago and have used it every morning for an hour before work and sometimes an hour after work. In three weeks I’ve shed 10lbs and my depression has noticeably improved. It is sturdy, well made, and without the operational noises other reviewers have mentioned. It was easy to assemble (by myself) and takes up less room than I expected. If I have to give it one criticism it would be the smaller stride length than that of other ellipticals I’ve tried. It’s about a foot and a half and I’m 5’7” but it doesn’t seem to affect the fluidity of the movement or put undue strain on my legs or joints. I don’t use the moveable handles when I exercise on an elliptical but rather stand upright and pump my arms as if I’m jogging and I usually have on weighted gloves. Not only does the movement feel more smooth and fluid for me but I’m engaging my core the entire time. All in all I would highly recommend this elliptical for those looking for a compact and sturdy piece of exercise equipment that won’t break the bank. Cheers.

It works well for me
This thing has really mixed reviews, so I wanted to give it some time to use before I reviewed it so I could touch on some key points. 1. The size is great. I usually go to the gym but needed something at home due to COVID. This fits nicely in a corner of my bedroom and is lightweight and pulls out easily. 2. My husband is a mechanic and general handyman, and he put it together. He said it wasn’t incredibly difficult but might be for someone who isn’t handy (he meant me), especially getting the belt on. If this is you, you might want to pay for assembly. 3. Because it’s compact, it doesn’t have an incredibly large range of motion. I actually appreciate this because I find it makes me actually use my arms more, but I’m 5’4” and think that it might be cramped and uncomfortable for someone even a few inches taller. You definitely can’t “run” on it, but you can get a good enough workout to break a sweat. 4. It feels sturdy under me, but I weigh 130 pounds, and I feel it might be a little unstable for heavier weights. It definitely rocks a little bit when I go faster, and it’s a bit noisy as it revolves due to the magnet. 5. The digital display is useless except for the timer. It tells me that I burn three times as many calories and go twice the distance as my Apple Watch says (and I think my watch is probably a bit forgiving). All in all, I think it’s a decent little machine and it works very well for my purposes (30 minutes of cardio daily in addition to weight training and yoga). I plan to use it until it’s safe to go to the gym again, and if I have any problems with it, I’ll update my review.

I've never regretted a purchase more
This device has exactly 0 pros: Size - It's pretty compact. That's a pro, right? Well... Kinda. The thing is, exercise bikes with this footprint are easy to come by. And I know why you're here, you prefer ellipticals to exercise bikes. I do too. But I'm telling you, whatever it is you think you like about ellipticals, this machine doesn't offer that (read on in the cons for more on this). Get yourself an exercise bike with the same footprint and you'll be happier. Furthermore, avoid this brand at all costs. Cost - You'd be tempted to think that it's cheap, but cheap items only save you money if they don't fall apart quickly. It's not cheap, it's just a low upfront cost. Its cons are overwhelming though. Jerky - You think of an elliptical as this nice machine that lets you choose which muscles to engage because as long as you keep the average effort over time at a certain level, it'll keep spinning right? Not this one. This one requires continuous engagement or it immediately slows down. Is there even a flywheel in here at all? I'm honestly not sure at this point. This elliptical is about as fun as running, but even though I hate running, running is free. Noisy - Thud thud thud. Why does the whole frame contort every stride? Who knows. Thud thud thud. Also, the mechanism itself isn't quiet, which I didn't notice until I finally replaced it. Fragile - The left foot pad broke during shipping. I tapped it together when putting it back together. The right foot pad broke one time when I stepped on it a little wrong I guess. I tapped that back together. A little more than a year after I bought it, and with infrequent use, given how much I hate this elliptical (probably 20-30 hours of use or less), it's finally done me the favor of starting to fall apart. The nuts on the pedals keep coming off. I'm not sure why, but it was frankly a blessing. I ended up buying an exercise bike with the same footprint, which is smoother and quieter. The exercise bike wasn't cheaper, but the exercise bike doesn't need to last very long before it will be cheaper per hour of use. Not really an elliptical? - So I'm not even sure if this thing is really an elliptical. Ellipticals let you use your arms. This thing doesn't. Like yeah, there are handlebars, but remember that bit about being jerky? The flywheel (or lack of) is so bad on this machine that you cannot maintain the motion purely with your arms. Ellipticals let you back pedal. Not this one. The frame contortions and jerkiness overwhelm any honest attempt to do so. Ellipticals let you just press & lift with your feet almost like a stair climber. Not this one. Again, the jerkiness of motion denies you the ability to actually use this thing like you would expect. I know you like ellipticals, I do too. But this isn't what you want. I'm sorry. I wish it was. Please. Let my pain be enough for you to learn from.

Great Buy!!!! *****
Well I figured I can write a review, Im a 26 married mother of three kids. I have had this machine for 5 days, and have done 2 miles on it everyday since I have received it! First off I would like to say it wasnt to difficult to put together, instructions were pretty vague but my 5 year old daughter helped me put it together! lol But it doesnt necessarily require two people, but if you would like an easy less stressful building experience get an extra set of hands. Secondly I had no parts missing, nothing was broken. It arrived as it should. I didnt have any issues putting it together. The only thing I can say is when you put the swing arms on be careful not to wipe off the grease on the rods which insert into the middle piece. If you fell as though you may have wiped to much off just spray some WD-40 on them. Thirdly, I have had one squeak, now it was loud or anything, it was the one arm that i handled to much and wiped the grease off. Just be careful of that. Also very IMPORTANT!!! If the machine seems wobbly check the stand bar in the back, there are two black caps on both ends of the bar they can be turned, just turn them so the machine is balanced. And as for people saying the tensioner doesnt proved enough tension, I say whatever! ahaha! Number 8 setting is hard!! You really start feeling it in your thighs after 2 miles on number 8. So to anyone who can do number 8 I commend you! Overall i love love love this machine!! It was a great price, I got it super fast, had no major issues with it. I highly suggest this to people who dont want to spend alot of money, someone who wants to exercise in the safety of their own home and overall just looking for a good machine.

Gift for the Fiances, that I can use
Let me start of this review by saying I READ every review posted at the time of purchasing this Elliptical, and I was rather nervous as the average was a 3 score. The quick run down, if your not very technical this product will be hard for you to put together, on top of it THROW out the crappy tools they give you as most bolts won't get tight enough from them. I suggest a cheap set of sockets (MM) and wrenches, you can buy them for about 20 dollars for both at an auto store or Wally World etc. While putting this machine together one of the bolts went right thru the foot pedals as the plastic for those are VERY VERY CHEAP, so be very very careful when tightening them down. Other than that we've had no mechanical or linkage issues putting it together. The Magnetic tension seems to work well as it's cable driven for tightening. Latching that cable can be tricky and I would recommend using two people to install it to ensure it get's a 100% fit, as that seems to be a major issue others were complaining about, again we did not experience this issue. Now on to the product, I knew going in this was going to be a VERY short stride for me as I am 6ft and my Fiances is around 5'6-5'7. For me it's very small but use able on a level 7-8 the footing is hard with my shoes as I wear a size 13 and the feet pads just barely fit my feet. The machine works well, seems to have good tension and somewhat sturdy for a $140.00 product compared to the one in the gym it's about a 3 out of 6. With that said I've use this product for a week 10-20 min sessions while it's been raining outside I have no trouble with building up a heavy sweat. I don't think I could use this every day however 2-3 days a week is alright for me I assume, I will update in a few months. If this product last us 2 years we will more than have gotten our money's worth out of it. I do like the hand grip heart monitor and calorie readers. Seems to work rather wheel and it's a simple push button rest. Batteries came with the machine so we will see how long they last for, as I am a fan of the ones that plug into the wall. This machine is a budget, compact sizing, apartment friendly machine. I would not purchase this for me as I have a stair stepper and I can get twice the work out on that, however it's old and doesn't come with the cool calorie/heart monitoring features etc... Now for my Fiances feel, she says it's good, a little shaky for her however I tell her it's our wood floors, she gets a good work out on it for about 20 mins a night. The stride is a little short for her as it works best for someone 5'4 and below. The 6 setting is about the avg tension for her, anything less than that she doesn't feel like she is getting a work out at all. Her feet fit well in the foot rest and the arm skii's are nicely placed for someone her size. All in all she thinks it's a good machine even despite the short stride. We both were unsure at first but after a week of usage (and then some) we have come to enjoy the little machine for what it is. A good way to burn calories inside while not breaking the bank.
