We just installed them on a 5gal bucket from home improvement store and the water always stays clean. And it was very easy to teach the chickens how to drink from it. We could leave for the weekend and not worry about the chickens spilling their water or pooping in it.

Easy to use

Ok product; after about six months the back o-ring went bad and needed replaced. Would be nice if they sent extra in the original packaging.

Installed into a 5gallon bucket for watering my chickens. They work well and do not leak. You have to train your chickens to use them, and once they get the hint, they will drink from them. I used a small stick to poke the water nipples, to show the chickens where to get the water.

I ordered a pack of 6, received 5 so was disappointed there. I had used similar ones to these before and worked good. These ones the silver nipple is tight, my baby chicks are unable to peck and move the nipple for the water to drip out. I am hoping as the chicks get bigger, and use it more that the nipples will loosen up. But for time being I need a second water supply until they can get this one to work.

My chooks are about a month old. They don't seem to yet have the strength to push the nipple enough to get the water to come out. They seem to work just fine though, when I push them with my finger. I have a couple mounted in a Nalgene bottle that is out of style. No leaks to speak of. Perhaps they'll get the hang of it in another few weeks. I'll re visit this review then.

I got tired of cleaning and filling our waterers a couple times a day so, we decided to try these. We used 6 in a 5 gallon bucket and filled it with water. It took about 5 minutes to install. We removed the old waterer and pushed the buttons on the waterers to let the chickens see water in the reservoir. After about 15-20 minutes a couple started using it. The others quickly caught on. Problem solved!

I used these to set up a waterer for my brooder. Drilled 3 holes in the sides of a coffee can using a 3/8” bit and drilled a hole in the top to vent. I set it on a block to keep it at their head height. You’ve got to train them on it but, they eventually take to it. I’ll try out a pvc waterer later using these side nipples for the rest of my flock.
