The best balm I have used so far compared to Bulldog or regular Nivea balms. Really calms the skin after a tough shave. The aloe works great and smell is not overpowering. Trick is to get it on discount.

I shave my head regularly and use this after.Doesn't sting, calms any shaving rashes, soaks in quickly and isn't greasy.

I bought this product in June 2022 for about £3.50 and I have to say that I really like it, although it is not without shortcomings. It is marketed as a balm but it's really more of a lotion: it is quite thin and a little watery in comparison with many of Nivea's other men's offerings; a bit reminiscent of Nivea's now-discontinued Oil-Free Moisturising Fluid. I absolutely love the fragrance: it is really clean and discreet - not at all overpowering or offensive. I sometimes use the Body Shop's hemp hand creams and they REALLY stink of hemp, but this has a soft, green, masculine fragrance to it which is really appealing on its own but importantly it also doesn't seem to interfere with any aftershave you might use. Even though it contains hemp seed oil, it absorbs extremely well and leaves no oily residue on the skin - it seems to slightly 'mattify' your skin, too. It also feels really gentle: I have quite sensitive skin but this doesn't irritate me whatsoever. I'm not sure how well it would work as a post-shave product as I have a beard, but it suspect it would be calming and soothing without being overly heavy.However, the fact that the product is quite thin in consistency means that it isn't the best I've tried in terms of moisturising properties. It does the job well, but it doesn't feel like an absolute powerhouse moisturiser and you may find that you need to reapply later in the day as your skin starts to dry and tighten again. Definitely worth trying if you need a lighter and less oily face moisturiser, though.

I bought this lotion as an alternative to aftershave and it is very soothing and smooth on my skin. It takes a few rubs for absorption to take place in the skin and has a nice subtle fragrance. It is not too thick or greasy.

This is very nice and soothing. A good product... But it's quite thin so i find it hard to rub in. Hard to explain but i almost find that too much comes out of the pump. End up having to wipe it off my hands with a towel and dry excess off my neck. Even with just a little amount.

Very impressed, I have sensitive skin and prone to go red after shaving but this is a game changer. Leaves skin very smooth and has a lovely scent. Previously used the Nivea sensitive balm but will be using this going forward. Need to rub into face quite figoursly as it goes quite white but after a few rubs it blends into skin.
