I purchased this for my little cousin. I was familiar with Rockbridge Guitars because they started in my hometown. It’s a great little instrument. My 4 year old cousin wasn’t overwhelmed and learned quickly how to depress the string and choose different colors to make different sounds. He was thrilled. His father helped him and he even played it for a while!You do need to adjust the string and even tighten the screw on the nut to tighten. No big deal. You do need to tune it occasionally. It’s super cute and a lot of fun. Great first instrument that doesn’t overwhelm a child.There are YouTube videos and more song info on the internet. Bravo Rockbridge Guitars!

Bought one for my 2 year old and 4 year old. The 2 year old plays very loosely but the 4 year old sits and really tries. Me and my husband play these guitars after the kids go to bed cause the book that comes with it makes it so fun and easy!!! You seriously can play a song the first time you pick it up! We do not know how to play guitar. Couldn't recommend this enough. Also it's a beautiful product- made of wood. Just high quality. A toy I'm so happy to buy my children.

Love these. Great for learning and they have a good sound to them.

Fun to "tinker" with. The sound is hard to hear the higher notes you play so that can be frustrating for little fingers otherwise we've been having fun with it, and it's easy to learn.

I'm a guitar teacher, and I got this for my 2 year old son for Christmas. It's a little beyond his capabilities to press down notes (expected since it's for ages 3+), but he has learned how to hold it and strum with good technique, which is huge!I can't believe this little guitar is only $25! I'll definitely be using this for my young beginners, and I'm even considering getting one for my father-in-law.I do wish they had one that was just plain blue or red so that adults can get one that they don't feel so silly playing.I also would love to have an app where I can create songs just like in the back of their music book. I hope the company reads this review and hires a developer to make one.

The machine head won’t stay tight. I replaced it with one from an electric guitar now you can actually tighten the string. 25/64 drill bit to expand the hole for the machine head/tuning key. My boy do

What a great idea! We bought this for our 3yo daughter, but my husband has been getting some use out of it too. Out string keeps going out of tune but there are instructions for tightening a screw so that it will stop.
